I guess this old quote from Baldur's Gate is appropriate "My life is drab and wretched in comparison".
In my workplace (exclusively for and within the HQ of a prestigious CPU manufacturer), due to company policies which distinguish between core and non-core workers, i am not allowed a free coffee from the coffee vending machines. I am not allowed a free apple from the pile of free apples made available at reception in the morning. I am not allowed to participate in any of the events announced over the tannoy or via notice boards (except... curiously enough, charity events). My office is not decorated fancifully like the rest of the building. I am not encouraged to go above and beyond. I do not receive the same level of technical support. I do not have free access to the gym.
Ah well, their loss. When I go, i'll leave some spanners in the works. That'll team 'em.
Hooray for the advances in corporate culture!

You must be a contractor. We all know that contractors are sub-human. Go back to Mexico where you belong!

And this is incredible. This guy was driving in some remote area and somehow became buried in the snow. Two months later, they find him alive. He had no food. It seems his core temperature dropped enough that his metabolism slowed down and he was able to survive the ordeal without any serious issues. http://gizmodo.com/5886507/how-a-man-su ... buried-car
Those plasma tornadoes are pimp. And I heard about the guy surviving in his car...I don't think he did it on purpose, but he did a lot of things "right" survival-wise: he tried to sleep as much as possible, didn't eat a lot (assuming he didn't have much food at hand anyway) and drank snow for water. He also appears to have had a sleeping bag with him, which saved him from the cold. Pretty kick-ass, although he sounded like a bit of a weirdo to begin with.

The iceland pictures are amazing tho. Always wanted to go there, and I think I still will.

Yea, Iceland is definitely on my list of places to go for a few days. It's just a short walk from Belgium, right? I mean, Europe is like the size of Dallas, right?

Public transport? Isn't that where the poor go to the bathroom?
