In New Zealand, someone forgot to tell a grocery store computer that Friday was a holiday, so it unlocked the doors and turned on the automatic checkout.

About 24 people walked out with groceries (that's how I'm reading it) and about half paid. The self checkout apparently locked up when someone scanned alcohol and there was no one from the store there to ok the purchase.

prison guard dog gets titanium teeth.

Apparently he broke them biting a board or something and training a guard dog requires a huge investment. It was cheaper buying him titanium teeth. :)
