Loved the M&M one. Sounds like something I'd do...I actually did have this plan to breed an überrat (by crossbreeding giant rats) at one time. I may still fulfill it. :)

I miss Arnold's movies... most weren't like ridiculously awesome or anything, but a huge number of them were surprisingly watchable. some even tip toed around the edges of being deep. *shrug* I'd still love to see another Conan movie, though I think Arnold may have aged a bit too much to pull that off properly.

Post Re: Funny Stuff II
More of a cool funny than a funny funny: I recently had to think about Hunter S. Thompson's attempt to run for the office of Sherriff of Pitkin County in Colorado (which includes Aspen) in 1970. It was a genuine attempt to seize office through a mix of mobilisation of the marginalised, anti-establishment measures, a deeply liberal agenda and well, a huge dose of humor and insanity. In the end he came really close and lost with a 44% of the votes, but only because the Democrats and Republicans arranged it amongst themselves that one of their candidates withdrew so more votes against Thompson would be concentrated in the final 2-man battle (instead of the original 3-way battle). :(

One of the most hilarious things Thompson did was to shave his head bald and continually refer to his buzz-cut Republican opponent as 'my long-haired opponent'.

Some of his running points:

- Legalization of drugs on a recreational basis (although profiteering dealers would be prosecuted harshly.)
- "Rip up all city streets with jackhammers and sod the streets at once."
- "Change the name Aspen to Fat City. This would prevent greed heads, land rapers, and other human jackals from capitalizing on the name 'Aspen'. These swine should be fucked, broken, and driven across the land."
- "It will be the general philosophy of the sheriff's office that no drug worth taking shall be sold for money. My first act as sheriff will be to install on the sheriff's lawn a set of stocks to punish dishonest dope dealers."
- Firing the majority of the conservative county officials and bureaucrats.

Kinda sad that it didn't work out in the end...but the fact that he won the vote in Aspen and would have won if it wasn't for the democrat/republican arrangement says something about the support that there is for this sort of 'eff you' policy in the grass roots.

RE: What To Buy at Walmart

My Local WalMart here in Daytona Beach,FL has everything LOCKED UP....Internet Security,Printer Cartridges,DVD's...Well,except for the $5 DVD (those are not locked up),yet I can drive about 7-9 Miles to Port Orange or around 12-13 Miles to Ormond beach and none of this merchandise is locked. Does this speak volumes about the neighborhood or what???

The caption on the picture was rather amusing.

phpbb recognizes search engine crawlers and will show them as users browsing the forum. That was the yahoo search bot. There are others that pop up from time to time as well, though that one seems to like to lurk.
