No I am not drunk, but I just bought all of my CK steam peeps a small gift now that the sales are ending. Most of you got the same game, and I hope you'll enjoy it. It may not be your "thing" and obviously you don't have to feel obliged to play it at all, heh.

The one I gave to Satis and Shiny is meant for them both - seemed rather redundant to buy the same singleplayer game twice when they have easy access to each other's pc's if necessary. More or less the same story with O'cram, but I don't feel like I owe him anything since he's not CK blood anyway.

You're all welcome. And it's not a huge game J, which can be played in small bursts. And you can easily play it on a crappy pc or laptop, so just stay a little longer at work. She's lucky you'll be lying about that and not an affair.

Stay longer? I'm finished at 15h30 (or earlier) remember, she's home at about 18h00. In between i normally do some minor schoolwork and some major babysittingwork. And read up on CK.

Still got tons of Dragon Age time to go though.

And you're absolutetly right Satis, dunno how to start converting her though. Seems pretty impossible.

For shiny it took getting her "intoxicated" and playing Baldur's Gate with me. Not sure what to recommend for you... maybe some left4dead on easy?

J, start her out with games like Plants vs. Zombies, Crayon Physics Deluxe and whatnot. Then move to the Sims or something like it...then it's RPG light time, and then something like Bg2. I wouldn't try Rape Simulator Extreme or Manhunt.

To me, the key to the coaxing was co-op play. single player and she'd get bored, competitive multiplayer she'd get owned and annoyed. But when you play together and she feels like she's contributing to the game (even if she's really standing in the back putting lots of holes in the walls with her machine gun) she tends to get more immersed.

And not that I am an expert on converting girlfriends into gamers, but I agree with what Satis is saying. I don't think most women even care about the games as such, but regard it more as time they can spend with their man. I bet they even like just watching you play a game if they can follow what's going on and if you involve them in your actions/choices. It's more the company than the activity that they enjoy, I think.

Personally, I go crazy when i see someone play without me doing anything. I'd strangle them with their mousecord. I also used to smash the console controllers into my brothers' heads when they beat me at a game (one once had to get stitches from that). That improved to just general rage by now, but they still shouldn't make too much fun of my defeats.
