Got me Mirror's Edge at a ridiculous 3.7€, and Riddick: Dark Athena at 9€.
Gotta love steam deals.

I grabbed Evil Genius for $2.50. If nothing else, it gives me a game to play when I'm on vacation. L4d2 is a tad laggy on my laptop.

Yeah, I noticed you did. I played it when it first came out...it's a bit of a mixed bag. The idea is fun, the style and humor is wonderful and just right, but there are some major gameplay snags. The game can be pretty hard because of those. But it's enjoyable for a game you want to crack while on holiday (but there's always Defcon for that).
Zeno Clash on sale for 4 €. Very nice game, great brawling combat system and a bewilderingly beautiful weird world. It's not perfect and a little short, but at 4 € you can't go wrong really.

yea, I saw that. I played the demo and wasn't really interested. I don't plan on picking that one up. Besides, I'm a bit stacked on games right now, plus the holidays are coming.

I picked up the xcom collector pack, since it was on sale for $10.99 instead of $15.99. I've been tempted numerous times even at full price, so I figured now was as good a time as any.

oh nice... they weren't my first, but I Space Quest and Police Quest obsessively. Not so much King's Quest, but whatever. SQ3 was one of the greatest games of all time.

You guys talk about these games as if they plucked your flower.
I have been going a little cuckoo over the steam sales, but who can blame me right? There are some amazing steals in there. In the last few days I got:
- GTA IV (did some checking on patching and the whole subscriping process first - work around for that) at 7.5€
- King's Bounty: Armored Princess at 10€
- Serious Sam HD at 10€
- Dawn of War Platinum Edition (original + 2 first expansions) at 5 €
And I don't think these will be the last. New deals should be on any minute now...I feel kinda bad about spending that cash, but then again, these 4 games together cost me less than a new game at full price.
EDIT: fuck's sake, Torchlight is at 3 €...bought it at 7.5€.

they fixed the issues with GTA IV and all the ridiculous sign-ups required and DRM and shit? If they did, I might get it. Otherwise, fuck no.

There's a mod that lets you do away with all the rockstar and windows live bullshit altogether. There's an initial singing up for the windows thing but after that it's clear sailing.
The whole GTA thing was a one-day deal only tho. Probably still cheaper than usual now but not 7.5 anymore.
The deals on the bottom half of the front page are daily (6 every day). The other ones are for the entire holiday. Just so you know!

ah, ok. Well that makes up my mind for me, then. No way in hell am I getting it. Besides, I don't believe in having to use 3rd party mods to make a game playable. I pretty thoroughly hate Rockstar at this point. *shrug* oh well, whatever.

Wow, today's deals are crap. It must be because it's Tuesday or something.
Silent Hill Homecoming (coming home to another crappy, boring ass game)
Jade Empire: SE (special edition for special people)
Mr. Robot (not related to Mr. human)
King Arthur (ugh)
Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor (and boredom)
Stormrise (stormset)
To be honest, I've only heard anything about a few of those games, but the ones I've heard of have been crap.

No silent hill on my list. In fact other than the silent hill trailer the game doesn't even exist on steam for me. Jade Empire is actually quite ok once the game starts to progress and more skills become available. I woulndt touch Stormrise though, with a metascore of 42 and Vista required to play.
