haha... "Dragon Age Launch Fails"
http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2009 ... mpaign=rss
basically the game isn't the problem, its having to register on Bioware and EA sites in order to get your launch-day DLCs. And in some cases even getting your cd key to work.
Christ, EA will never learn. Let's see how bad they fucked themselves. Game of the century, possibly reduced to footnote on the dangers of irritating your customers.

I take it you're pre-ordering as we speak Satis?

haha... I wasn't gonna do it anyway, but this certainly made it more certain. I'll wait for them to fix the stupid shit.

What what what?! I just noticed Dragon Age is available already in mainland europe! Decrypting as we speak.
(and I'm 'working from home', in case you wondered. The trains are on strike so I can't get to work, so they let me work from here. Keeping one eye on work email, other on phone, rest on Dragon Age. )

lol, it's cool. I take my laptop to work and regularly update Steam games and shit via the wireless network here. I've been known to fire up L4D during meetings occasionally as well. hehe

We have them at work. We had the guide in, I had a flick through... I might just have to buy it tomorrow. We'll see. It's tempting, no one on WoW tomorrow night and I have a couple extra hours in the morning on Saturday too...

Man, Satis is much more of an insidious slacker than I ever took him for. I thought he was one of them 'when at work you WORK' nazis. Well, not really. But I'm still somewhat surprised at him firing up L4D at a meeting. Doesn't anyone look on your screen and go 'dude?!'?
Played a little Dragon Age (male dwarf commoner origin) and well, the game looks great. Epic atmosphere (the music on the main menu is beautiful), great presentation and the feel of the game (when zoomed out a bit) is very BG2. But there's a lot more blood and adult stuff, too.
Either way, looking forward to playing this weekend.

heh, I don't play games regularly. And actually I bust my ass at work. I'm ridiculously productive, but then again I need to be since my boss is a cockwad.

Been playing it for a few hours. Goosebumps once or twice, and enjoying the hell out of it. And to think the really epic stuff is waaaay ahead.

hold on to some of those codes for me, pev. I don't have the game yet, but it's inevitable that I'll acquire it.

Got 'em saved for you then! Just downloading Dalish Promise Ring and the Memory Band for myself. Those were the preorder ones. Also just in my normal edition I have the code for Shale, an npc for my party and the blood dragon armour, but that code seems not to want to work at the moment.
Not buying the premium shit though, they can go to hell.
Heh awesome Ox, I've gone for a different playstyle to usual, human mage. If this game works out I can feel another "Pevil/Ox/Peltz's Dragon Age thread" spam coming on
