That was my reaction too. Why not give him that prize after his term in office? He hasn't done anything yet except for having good speeches.The peace prize has been the weakest one for years and this is a good reason not to care any longer.

he hasn't killed anyone (afaik, but probably needed for being elegible for this price), he has been abroad on several occasions recently, he's good with words (given his degree) ...

Anyway...yeah, when I head Obama had won the Nobel Peace Prize I had to think long and hard of a reason. And the conclusion is: there is none.  They're just riding the media love wave.
I like the guy and all, but Nobel Prize?! He should have refused it.
