That's a cool trailer. Still interested in this game...like ToR, it's not building in the template of the generic WoW grind MMORPG, which could be promising. If they don't throw out that idea during betatesting when the WoW junkies among them gp all "raaagh no shaman!!11"

Turbines Dungeons & Dragons Online is free to play but not everything is free. Those who do keep paying monthly fees get addons for no extra cost.

EDIT: I feel like the Secret World would make an excellent book because the setting is really interesting and it can only be limited by the measly imagination of the artist who transforms the text into a visual.

aww, crap, I meant to post... Shiny and I used to play DDO back when it first came out in 2006. Now that it's free we've gone back. I'm not sure Shiny's digging it so much but I'm kinda having fun. It being free makes it a lot easier to overlook the problems.

If any of you are interested in joining us, I've got a cleric and sorceror while shiny has a cleric and rogue. I can post the world we play in if anyone's interested.

What's wrong with a *free* MMO? You're the ultimate crack monkey, I swear. And yes, we could most assuredly use a dwarven tank. And someone with high intelligence (ie, a wizard) to activate all the runes we run across.

I started playing it, dunno on what server (not the one you're at i think). Not that i actually have time to play a lot, but i figured since it's free i might give it a shot.

I'll probably make a character on Thelanis later. Finished the prologue/tutorial thingie i think (i'm in some village now) with my other character.

I cant stop laughing at the ctrl alt del picture, lol @ petrified turd (brilliant name, name of the year).

Ill download the game at some point during this weekend but im not sure how or when would we ever team up.

BTW, I think you're afraid of becoming addicted or something, but don't be. It's just like GW... the towns are common areas, all the dungeons are instanced. Of course, other than that the games are completely different, but hey.

I've got my Cleric up to level 5 and my sorc to 3... mainly I play with Shiny and that's fun... soloing isn't quite as fun. The bigger the group the more fun it is, to be honest, especially when the classes complement each other well. We're seriously hurting by not having a wizard, bard, sorcerer or ranger. To be honest, a tank isn't such a big deal, since my cleric tanks quite well.
