Google's come out with a monopoly game with Hasbro to build up to a new release of monopoly later in the year. Apparently the game's been re-ruled to make it more interesting or something.

Monopoly is the boss! Awesome game. The best fun i've had is playing with our own rules (2k overdraft) and total open negotiations where everything is open, like mergers and interest repayments. I remember playing like that till 3 am one night . I usually grab only the high end streets and then make a merger toward the end.

I'm trying to buy my own street but the game is working so slow here at work...

And Derf, that sounds a lot like my Risk evenings! Once you get past all those civilized "rules" and "regulations", the real game comes out.

Mine isn't either, don't worry. And after some more trying at home on a decent pc with a stable internet connection I can say that the game is still well and truly forked. Too bad.
