It's a very inexpensive game so buying it isnt a problem i guess.
edit: well NWN2 and MotB are 2 for £25 in Game, so not cheap but not expensive either i guess.

What do you think Ox? Does it suckage that bad? Do you think it will be enjoyable if u me and Peltz do some kind of MP campaigning?

From what Peltz sais MotB could be do-able i guess. I'm fairly up for it since I never played much NWN at all and I havent played a decent RPG in ages, let alone in coop.

Shiny and I MP'd it... got very far into the game, then got stuck at a point that would just CTD us. So we had to give up. I'll never play NWN or any of its bastard children again... completely rip off and I regret spending any money on it.

Is that because it's buggy? I've been reading some reviews and the negative criticism is mostly regarding some pretty heavy buggage. How long ago was that? Cos im thinking today it might work perfectly (patches).

It was quite awhile ago...and yes, buggage was the problem. It's been several years, so perhaps there were patches... but perhaps they had stopped releasing patches by then as well. Still, you're welcome to try.

I guess I can only try. There are worse ways to spunk £25. :D

Ooh I liked that. The intro reminded me of BGII cinematics. Some of the 3d models look clunky though. I really hope this game hasn't just been on the shelve since the PC version was ready. All those extra months should have made for lot of polishing.

yeah, noticed that loading thingie. :)

Found this tidbit from Ray Muzyka, Bioware CEO, about Dragon Age

http://www.rpgwatch.com/#12982

Quote:
If you’re going to say Dragon Age is one of the best games you’ve ever played… I’ve finished Dragon Age. I’ve played it extensively on PC and console. I can really stand behind it. I’ve played it a lot. On one of the play-throughs I spent 120 hours. Two hours a day for 60 days, 90 percent of the game, according to the telemetry. And I loved it. Every minute of it. I couldn’t wait to come home. After about ten hours of gameplay, every day I was talking about coming home and I played it for two or three hours, or whatever time I had free, and play it to the early hours. Luckily I don’t sleep as much as my wife. I’d stay up till after midnight and play it after she was asleep.

Now, he's obviously speaking for his own wallet and shop, but the sheer size of the Dragon Age saga is, we can extrapolate from what he says, clearly humungous. Which is awesome. :)

Yeah, ok, it's gloss for now. The mechanics and feel is what gets me excited.
