I need to go help my brother move but, before I go:
It's guys like Satis that ruin it for the rest of us!
"Why can't you be more like X's boyfriend? He sends her flowers!"
Seriously though, quite thoughful! Didn't really think it was really your usual way of doing things either tbh.

Ox, I know what you mean the ladies in my office came running in with my flowers while I was having a meeting with my boss on some web design issues. Then one of the chicks anniversary is on Monday and she was like I better get flowers etc.
However, keep in mind that Satis and I have been together since 2000 and this is the first time he has sent me flowers. He has bought flowers and brought them home a couple times (but only like 3 times maybe) but this was the first time for that. It was very unexpected. I was actually trying to figure out who would have sent them. My mom will occasionally send me flowers to work, but I knew they were not from her because they were not her florist and I am not letting her spend any $ right now until we get some issues settled on her husbands estate. So then I started thinking maybe one of my vendors hear about all that has been going on with me and sent them. Nope - I was very shocked they were from Satis.

Speaking of military stuff, the HMS Illustrious visited Tallinn and my brother worked as a Liaison Officer/Contact Officer from the Estonian side. I took a couple of pictures (like 5 or so) with my mobile since my "new" camera was already back in the shop for repairs. Apparently it can record large movies but it cant transfter them through cable.

Haha, great pic Derfmeister. I see you are an expert at contemplating and strategizing poon (yet, for some reason, there is none in sight - if you don't count O'Cram ).
Your pics remind me to buy a suit some time (I don't have any).
Peltz, I love batleships. Is it the same Illustrious that played such a key role in WW2?

Err, if that's a battleship, they've shrunk considerably. Looks more like a helicopter carrier to me, based off the flat upper deck and the large open lower deck. But I'm guessing. Maybe Estonian battleships look like that.
lolz @ derf and the poon. What's with the total lack of any in the shots? Is it some Italian thing? The more drunk you get the more anything looks like poon?

No suit at all? What do you wear to a funeral, a pair of jeans?
I only have one, and I've gained some weight after I got it. Trying to close the pants takes some time. Maybe I should go loose some weight.

Well if you see one, let me know, im dying to see one . Anyways, ox prolly meant by battleship a ship for warfare, not as an actual class of a navy ship. Brits have smaller aircraft carriers (which are actually destroyer or cruiser class i think) at the moment because their planes land vertically, hover time..
The briefer (person who told us about the ship and life with the carrier) on board the illustrious told us that there is a chance of "bounce" in some random direction on landing. They haven't had luckily any major incidents tough or he just could not share with us.

Geez, even I have a suit and I'm a chick and can get away with dresses. Ox seriously hun, maybe that is why you are not getting the job after an interview? Looking better than the part is important at least over here. I can wear upscale business casual to work, but I would not dream of hiring someone who would not at least wear a suit to the interview. I want people to be confident and not snibling little weezels that can't rock a suit.

Hey, I AM a snivelling little weasel, what did you expect? :p No, not really. I dunno...I do have a jacket, so when I go to apply for a job I wear a good pair of jeans (stress on good), a nice buttoned shirt and a jacket. No tie. I actually look pretty good in a jacket, people tell me I have a good physique for it (shoulders). But I don't like 'em much.
I was under the impression that business casual was the way to smoke it in this day and age, barring some upscale lawyer firms or manager positions. Maybe I'm just too disconnected from reality to realize what I'm doing wrong. It happens a lot.
And Arathorn, I just wear nice clothes that don't involve suits or jackets to weddings and such. My family is pretty old-fashioned and posh, but no one seems to mind...used to be different, but the times are a-changin', I guess. Unless the invivation spefically asks me to wear a tux or suit I don't.
That's why I need a job in the gaming industry, so I could sit around in my Alf t-shirt and baggy jeans at work.

dude...jeans are a no-no for a job interview. And funerals. And weddings. ffs man... what kind of manners do you have? Do you scratch yourself in your interviews too?
Anyway, business casual means slacks (NOT JEANS) and a collared shirt, no tie, no jacket. What shoes depends on your specific definition... for a job interview I'd wear nice shoes, too.. no tennis shoes, though I wear those to work.
@Peltz, yea, I figured with a name like the Illustrious that was a British ship visiting. I don't know what kind of Navy Estonia has... probably a sailboat and 3 fishing boats.
