30 PC games to play before you die
Very cool list, with tons of classics on it. I agree with pretty much all of them (but would add a few more).

Hmmm lets see:
Deus Ex: I've watched Mole play it... #cough#
Planescape: I don't think watching the vid on BG counts
Vampire: I couldn't get past the tutorial, hated it
Diablo 2: Played to death and still gets picked up (and put down very quickly now)
CnC Red Alert 2: Played a little, watched Mole a lot
Civ IV: Got it, played tutorial, really need to get into it
Rome Total War: Played it a bit
Grim Fandango: Not a fan of those kinda games, watched Mole play it somewhat though
GTA Vice City: Does playing it on ps2/xbox count?
Lemmings: course I played it!
Portal: watched Mole play it on 360... I watch far too many games instead of play them...
Postal 2: doesn't like xp
Prince of Persia: played the start a few times
Some I disagree with, but only mildly. Like Mirrors Edge, technically very good but wasn't actually given very good reviews generally due to being pretty much the same mission over and over. I haven't touched it at all other than 360 demo but... meh.

page blocked by my content filter, of course, but I've played quite a few of those with a few notable exceptions
Planescape : never played it
Quake 2: I was out of country for Q2, but I played Q3 to death
C&C Red Alert 2: didn't like it
Civilization IV: never played it... if it's like previous incarnations I'd be addicted for a few weeks, then get bored
Outcast: never heard of it
King Quest VI: I have no clue if I played that. I played numerous others.
Lemmings: played it a bit
dwarf fortress: nope, not really interested
counter-strike: bought it, had problems getting it to get online, gave up
prince of persia: nope
mirror's edge: will play once the price goes down
garry's mod: nope
grand prix legends: nope
All the rest I played, most of them quite a bit. Based off Derf's list... if he didn't list em all then I dunno.

Sid Meier’s Civilization IV played to death

Lemmings played it but never really got into it - prolly too dumb for the game
Portal played it, loved it
EVE Online never played it
Slaves to Armok: God of Blood: Chapter II: Dwarf Fortress played a little, gave up
Left 4 Dead ongoing!
Counter-Strike: Source played to death
Hitman: Blood Money played to death

Missing Baldur's Gate 2 from the list, and Kotor I. Other than that great list. Oh and I guess WoW deserves a mention to if Eve gets to be on the list.
Derf, you should try Red Alert 3, it's a faithful crazy RTS funtime game...and you can play it in co-op!

I thought it was lame RTS crap fluff. Like every other cookie-cutter RTS out there, even if it's somewhat tongue in cheek. But I'm not a big RTS fan so my opinion may not count for much.

Good point on BG2, but I disagree on WoW. I may play it, I may enjoy it, but it is NOT a good enough game to be up there. Nothing new or innovative in it whatsoever, they just copied things and put a popular name on it.

Yea, actually I agree with Pev on WoW. Nothing new there, just a decent (blech) implementation of existing ideas. But if you want innovative game, they need to add Wolfenstein 3d (first popular FPS) and C&C (first RTS). And how about XCom? That was an awesome game.
