this was my honest response to seeing the robo/dino combo as a child.

I remember the toys... vaguely. Not this series, I'm watching the first episode right now, damn, everything about this is so wack.

I remember that from my youth. I thought they were kinda neat, but never got the toys or watched the show that I can recall. My transformers would omgwtfpwn the dino riders.

Heh being a girl, I had:
My little pony
Transformers
Barbie
Star Wars Goodies!
Cabbage Patch Dolls
With all that I could play with the boys or the girls and have a blast. Plus, you don't wanna know how often my star wars action figures had to ride my little pony to get home to play house with barbie. haha

Heh @ Shiny....girls are weird In a good way!
I never had many toys, tbh. We weren't poor but my parents weren't very big on spending money on (new) toys. I remember moaning for ages to get a NES when I was small, but I never got one. The atari 2600 and my dad's 468 were enough to kickstart me into gamerhood tho.
Mostly played lego, and playmobil. I can't really remember much else.
I don't know wtf is wrong with you guys btw...it's friggin DINOSAURS with friggin LASERS attached to their frigging heads! How could you not think they are awesome? But ok, maybe they're not Optimus Prime-awesome awesome.
Btw Derf, they're not Cyborgs or something...the evil guys mindcontrolled the predator dinosaurs and put a lot of bling on them in terms of weaponry. The good guys 'communicated' with the plant eaters and are using them to fight off the baddies. As you can imagine, most plots revolved around getting the T-rex (or other dino) out of the evil guys' mind control and have him go on a rampage among them.

Mostly played Lego too. My parents were never too keen on spending too much money on our toys and I think that was a good thing, today's kids are often far too spoiled.

When your kid looks like the stay-puft marshmallow man, you need to quit feeding him fast food.

Heh - No Fat kids. Seriously - it only gets harder when you get older, why start them off like that. Either there is something medically wrong with the kid and you as a parent should get it taken care of or you seriously need to figure out a healthy diet.
I had legos, erector sets, lincoln logs, etc. too. I still dig legos. Honestly I was spoiled as a child ina weird kinda way. My mom would buy me tond of babrie dolls for instance, yet I was NOT allowed to remove them from the box. OK I get collectors items but not to a kid when they are under 8!

You have to admit that this raises some questions in a non-english speaker

For the non-native english speakers
Might I add my father is an engineer - so needless to say I had lots of building/electronics toys as a child.
