I voted for Abort, Retry, Fail? because of the stupidity of the error and the options it presents. I mean "Fail" for gods sake? What the hell was that programmer smoking when he came up with that.

lol. I remember the good old days when being a gamer was being a social outcast. People would look at you, wondering if you were going to go crazy and murder everyone. Now it's being commoditized like everything else.

lol. People still look at me that way, but not because I'm a gamer. :roll:

But yeah, the world has seriously changed. I still am somewhat cautious to tell a girl I like that I'm -say- applying for a job as a games tester or that I play a lot of computer games, but even with women i find that the acceptance has grown a LOT. Most cool girls I know are at least vaguely interested in games and have played a few games and liked them.

That was unthinkable 10 years ago.

of course, if I would show them the true extent of my gamer-ness they would run away screaming. Can't have it all.

Bah - you should be able to show who you are to any chick you are going after. If they run then they were not for you anyway. I mean wouldn't you rather find a chick that wants to be with you for you.

I am not saying that I like everything Satis does, and somethings like gaming I had to kinda get talked into, but I would not run from him based on a few differences.

With that said - I would not want to be in a relationship with someone that I didn't have anything in common with or constantly ignored me for games. I mean what is the point if all you do is live in the same space and not spent ANY time together. I'd rather live by myself in that case so I could do whatever the hell I wanted. :P

I disagree. Being a hard core gamer is something to slowly reveal to a chick as time goes on. Otherwise she might just decide to leave before she's made any kind of investment in the relationship.
