 Firefox 3 is out
Get it while supplies last.
Their website's been choking all day. They're trying to make the Guinness book of world records for 1 day downloads but it's hard when your server can't stay up.

Got it. Much faster than 2. Or it seems to be.

yea, I'm using it. Firebug and developer toolbar both work on it, so yay for that since that's what I use the most. Definitely seems to be faster. No crashes or any negatives to report so far.

I can't notice any outside noticeable improvements, although it has some random behavior from time to time. Maybe I should've waited for a version later than 3.0.

I kinda like the new address bar. It finally recognizes bookmarks when I start typing an address or part of it. It also seems to use a little less memory.

I also like this 'greenlisting' feature or whatever it is.
For example, if I go to log on to my internet banking website, it comes up green at the top. You know, the phishing warning.

Can you multitab with the X on the right as with 1.5?
(not the 1 X per tab as with 2.0)

You could look around in about:config a bit, and maybe there's a extension for it.

Yeah you can, but I don't know if it's part of the tabbed browser preferences extension. It might be. Because I could do it in 2.x

I've installed several plugins to extend the tab functionality. I'm running it at work, but not here (at home). I like it. The one at work stays open 24/7 and with 2 it had a serious memory leak. I also had a page that refreshed every 5 minutes that probably contributed. It seems a lot more stable and definitely has a smaller memory footprint.
Still getting used to the new location bar. I'm not sure I like it yet.

Well there's CCleaner for that problem, and Firefox can remove its own history as well. I needed some time to get used to the new location bar too, especially since it was pretty ugly in the earliest betas. I'm also not using it to its full potential yet, because I'm too used of typing whole addresses.

So far, I'm loving it. I just picked up my macbook today (Mickey), and already I've found some pretty handy add-ons to sync stuff such as bookmarks, tags, etc. etc. from my iMac (Maxwell).
I am also liking the new address bar, pretty dang handy for when I don't remember the exactly url, but remember parts of the addy (my memory is random at best. hehe).
Then again, I'm just a pretty-application whore. So I'm pretty sure I'll like it no matter what because the interface is lover-ly.

haha, that works. I'm definitely loving it. I'm adding on a screenshot of my currently installed add-ons. I wish someone would upgrade the view source chart add on.
Stack style tabs is cool. When you mouse over a tab it pops up a little screenshot of what's on the page.
