This is a stereo microphone for video cameras that's supposed to approximate human hearing. But it's just a little bit creepy.

Awoohoo for the Wii balance board!!
That concept in games, awesome, but totally impractical . It's such a spazzy thing to try and control your balance like that, takes shitloads of practice.

*still sucks at snowboard slalom on WiiFit and is bitter about it*

I remember that comic. It brings back so many memories. They dont make games like that anymore (possibly because aliens are overused and possibly because 95% of the games suck anyway).

X-com ftw!! And Peltz, I don't think they stopped making it because the formula has been pushed to its limits...it's more that games these days have to answer to so many criteria that aren't directly related to gameplay that the atmosphere suffers. Imho. :)

Remember Defcon? Such a simple game, no bells or whistles, just basic but to-the-point graphics, intriguing rock-paper-scissors gameplay and an eerie background music. And mass deaths of course. :) But it worked.

I still play defcon from time to time. That's a wonderful game. Some day I might even upgrade to the full version. :)
