Yeah, i've seen some more screenshots, it does look great.

I've actually played more of Crysis since, I'm starting to get into it more, there is a certain enjoyment in sneaking aound with the cloak on headshooting, then cloaking again. my tactics of choice at the moment.

Yea, it's a lot more fun playing on a really hard difficulty (at least the pre-alien parts). How far have you gotten? There's a part where it gets a lot more intense (still pre alien) that's a great deal of fun.

heh, I was wondering about that.

I checked the Far Cry 2 website but it's pretty lame how little content it has as far as videos and screenshots.

Actually, the suit gimmick thing, maybe thats it...and the aliens...like far cry with the bloody mutant monkeys, no real need to have that stuff...

Oh God, not the assrape monkeys :o ...still have nightmares about those. Leaping at you from over 3 metres away, dealing insane dmg (40 a hit iirc) and barely, just barely possible to kill with one point-blank shotgun blast.

Quite possible the toughest "footsoldier" enemies I ever encountered in a shooter. But, gotta hand it to Crytek, they made for some pretty visceral scenes...like where you heli-crash into the jungle and have to shake them off during a crazy rush through the jungle, with no weapons.

Still proud I made it through the end battle of the first FC, btw. :)

I had to basically cheat to beat the first Far Cry. Sitting in a corner of the doorway and shooting them in their arm until they finally died. Some games are hard, and some are ridiculous. If you have to replay the end battle 30 times on normal to beat it, you have a balance problem.

I know what you mean, I started sniping, then resorted to using the chain gun??! (The one from the twat boss merc) from a prone position and just opened up as soon as any body part showed up. lame but it did the job.

My father in laws method was the old 'chair to jam the door' one. I might have to try that sometime.

the assrape monkeys sucked balls. :( That bit where you end up on top of the waterfall with no weapons really freaked me out at the time

haha, yea, totally. It seemed like the developers were just out to kill my character at any cost.

"Oh, you made it this far, did you? Let's see how you do with no weapons!"

I was afraid what would happen next. Like them dropping mountains on me or something.

Having seen trailers and read previews, I can safely say that FC2 is almost coming close to Fallout 3 in terms of excitement for the end of this year. :)

Loved the whole "start a savannah fire, smoke out the baddies" thing and the fact that you literally burn open wounds shut with cigar stumps etc.
