Yeah bloodsport is a classic! Not as much as "Wrong bet" (official name is Lionheart but i like the other much more) but if you haven't seen it you're not worthy, like ox i must have seen those movies at least 10 times.

I remember Lionheart. Man, I must've gone through a bad movie phase or something.

Which obtusely reminds me, I forced Shiny to watch Red Dawn. I remembered the movie being so awesome when I was younger. Yea, it's not quite so awesome any more. :?

Man, when you've seen enough Family Guy you can apply it to pretty much anything in pop culture. :)

this is kinda cool. A US soldier was involved in a firefight in Afghanistan and his phone apparently called his parents. They weren't home at the time, but the battle was recorded on their answering machine.

Story:

the phone call:

I can't listen to it here. :( I'd love to hear it.

This brings me back to when I was a little boy. Probably hits home with most of the males here who're old enough to not have grown up with the intarnetz. Penny Arcade ftw!

Classic:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srrbvNNUKrA

An Italian, a Scotsman and a Chinese fellow are hired at a construction
site. The foreman points out a huge pile of sand and says to the Italian
guy, "You're in charge of sweeping." To the Scotsman he says, "You're in
charge of shoveling." And to the Chinese guy, "You're in charge of
supplies." He then says, "Now, I have to leave for a little while. I
expect you guys to make a dent in that there pile." So the foreman goes
away for a couple of hours and when he returns, the pile of sand is
untouched. He asks the Italian, "Why didn't you sweep any of it?" The
Italian replies, "I no hava no broom. You saida to the Chinese a fella
that he a wasa in a charge of supplies, but he hasa disappeared and I no
coulda finda him nowhere." Then the foreman turns to the Scotsman and
says, "And you, I thought I told you to shovel this pile." The Scotsman
replies, "Aye, ye did lad, boot ah couldnay get meself a shoovel! Ye left
th' Chinese gadgie in chairge of supplies, boot ah couldnayfin' him
either." The foreman is really angry now and storms off towards the pile
of sand to look for the Chinese guy ...Just then, the Chinese guy leaps
out from behind the pile of sand and yells: "SUPPLIES!!"
