I got this for PC. It's not bad. Some good shooting/killing fun, fairly similar to the latest Ghost Recon. But it's more colorful. Ghost Recon was primarily grays and browns, this is much better in comparison. The lack of grenade launchers is puzzling, but overall the weapons selection is decent. Nothing like wasting some poor bastard with a door charge.

I have to say I am enjoying this game. And while I am not a FPS type player (ie I get killed a lot) I am enjoying this. Satis has not even yelled at me for being totally stupid yet. Although I did get turned around after a respawn once and went in front of the wall instead of behind it and Satis definately laughed at me for that since I got killed again.

lol, playing with Shiny can be quite amusing at times. Her 3d space awareness in games is improving but at times results in some pretty hilarious stuff. Like hiding on the wrong side of a wall and getting riddled with bullets.

It's quit fun though. I'm hoping once we beat it on casual we'll go again at normal. She'll be an FPS player yet! Then she'll play multiplayer Far Cry 2 with me... and she'll pwn me... and come laugh about it on here.

lol...sounds like fun. /me needs a girlfriend who likes games.

Hear you on the spatial awareness thing. For some reason, some of my friends (male) seem to have a hard time with that in games. Like, they have a hard time 'finding the way back' in an area in FPS shooters or some such.

I, otoh, seem to have a knack for it. Even when I'm just sitting by and not playing myself I can usually tell them which way to go. Baffles me how they manage not to. It's kinda like women and reading maps.

*sexist alert*

Oh don't get me started on Maps - I hate to say it but I am majorly map retarded. I got Satis and I lost coming back from a pre-run to a concert place in a neighboring city I had no idea was lost for like 8 hours. We went to the East ad came back from the west. Satis missed getting his CHL (concealed handgun license for those non Americans) prior to him going into the Army years and years ago. He was so mad. And even in games I am so map retarded it is sad. I never wanna lead a party in a MMO, because they'd get so lost. That's why I like medic types.

hah, she stole the medic thing from me. Satis is the original medic!

In R6-Vegas 2 Shiny likes the large, belt fed machine guns. It's hilarious, she'll blaze off 60 rounds like it's nothing. I've seen her put 30 rounds into a corpse.

Oh come on that is just fun! I'd chop down trees with a .50 cal in real life if I could.

Alot of hidden anger in you? :D

I havent played the game myself. I really like tactical squad based strategy like Silent Storm, FOT: BoS, Jagged Allience. Pity they are so scarce and usually very broken (Brigade E5)

How does this compare to SWAT4 in terms of realism/tactics/fun?

Never played swat 4 so I couldn't say, sorry. The closest thing I can compare it to is Ghost Recon, and this is more fun though less realistic.
