I know, its tragic

10+ years ago i watched the lot, star trek, star wars, X-files, etc...TV is so shit these days.

Why do you guys watch TV today at all? I quit like four years ago. Occasionally I catch that-and-that but the fact is: I'm not watching it much more (math sign ">>") than I do.

I watch the evening news and football, that's about it.

I am obsessed with the news, but.... I don't watch it on TV. I can not stand waiting for like 20 min of crap news to see the one "important" piece of news, so I read the news on several news website throughout the day.

However, lately I have been watching more TV than usual (somewhat between games at the moment) and so I seem to be drawn into home improvement type shows. Which is funny because I so don't do any of that type of thing. I do watch the Simpsons when I can and even some Family Guy.

Even the history channels, which I had respect for, are starting to get tedious. I mean, for fuck sake, there is history OTHER THAN WORLD WAR FUCKING 2. lol

Thankfully, Sky News is no longer around, although I've stopped watching the news altogether following one-too-many of those bullshit "child is missing" headlines lingered for weeks. For fuck sake, surely there is more important stuff going on in the world other than a single fucking child that fell down a well.

I generally just watch the odd footie game, and anything that makes me wet myself with laughter, like That Mitchell And Webb Look or Scrubs.

Since we all get into detail, lets explain my circumstances: I'm not turning on the TV but the other members of the family do. Often it is enough loud so that I can roughly hear what is it about. When I hear something that might be interesting, I come to hear. Otherwise, well, screw it. If I want informations internet is there. If I want a good movie, I got to get it by myself and watch when I want.

That's another aspect: movies. By side that there is less and less good movies. I get feeling that today the things have changed a bit. Before, TV stations were paying to play good movies. Today producers of worst-class-movies are paying TV stations to play their movies. Ok, that's only partly true or utter untrue, but it DOES illustrate how bad today's movies are.

Btw, Sat, since you're switching to phpBB3 soon, you could've posted the link to youtube instead of this one. Or you are going to keep all our attachments fully accessible and functional? (which would be good news)

Back to the TV at the moment...I used to watch ONE show, life on mars (AWSOME!!!)..since that has finished, again, ONE show Gavin and Stacey (V.funny). 99% of TV bores the shit out of me, And don't get me started on reality TV or the X-factor/joseph/whatever the next batch of crap is called.

And we have Sky! We only seem to have it for my son!
