Post Fahrenheit aka Indigo Prophecy
Just completed it.

To most people the game is pointless because theres not a whole lot to do in the game except some movements and small easy puzzles. Actually its difficult to even classify it as a game, Its more like watching a movie.

If you got some spare money, two thumbs up for this one.

Fahrenheit aka Indigo Prophecy

yeah, if you can find a budget release of it be sure to pick it up. I played Fahrenheit too and I liked it a lot...not the best game I played by a long shot, but original and compelling. You can feel the console-influences however (the button-mashing sequences) which is less impressive. :(

But in terms of story, overall atmosphere and graphics it's a must-try. :)

Okay, i went ahead and bought this cos it was cheap.

So far im about 15% through, and thoroughly impressed. Especially in retrospect of all the other crap thats out there at the moment. This title feels like its actually had someone behind it who genuinely cares and loves it.

I love the mystery and gradual unravelling thing. What i dont dig too much is the "Get Ready!" button bashing. I dont think its necessary. Im shit at bust-a-move type stuff, so i mostly do crap on these moments if im not mentally prepared.

Glad to hear you got the game man, it's really good. The atmosphere is amazing, especially during the intro. Great music too, and believable characters (as in, personalities) with their own fears and problems. Really good stuff. :) Probably one of the best games I played last year - top 5.

The button-mashing is kinda lame, but except for one or two places it shouldn't be too hard. You get the hang of it, I'm not a console gamer at all either and after a while I mashed my way through the game like a pro. The biggest shit with the buttons is that you can't always keep your eyes on the (awesome) action going on on your screen. :(

I'll warn you now: the story goes kinda...ballistic towards the end. I mean, it's still intruiging (depending on your choices too) but it won't be the 'wtf is going on...who can I trust? can I trust myself?' style from the first 50% of the game.

Anyhoo...keep playing and reporting. Might re-install it myself if I'm done with IWD2 (and BG1).

Hehe. I kinda thought it would.
I mean, the scene when the guy is at work and the huge bugs are trying to kill him is pretty ballistic enough.
It had me laughing my ass off all the way through. Which made the whole button bashing thing hard as fuck at the time.
Some guy even died during the attack, cos i fucked up a combo. Lol, i really dont know what happened to him.
lol...it wasn't supposed to be funny I think, but trying to simulate the horror of someone suffering from delusions. :) hahaha

Either way, as long as you have fun man...I can see how it was funny though. Huge bugs in cublicle offices, always a plus.

Think the dead guy didn't actually die...unless you pushed him out of a window or something. :P

Okay, now im stuck. I must be really dumb or something. Im at the library and i cant find that old guys fucking book. Man if my character had it his own way he'd be beating most of his information from people.

The character in that scene is a cop, right? Might be kind problematic. :) Otoh, the book store guy is Chinese, and pigs lurve bashing minorities!

Anyway...it's really rather logical. You have to examine the copy of the book you have and find out who wrote it.

There are a few books (I think it was books, anyway) on tables that give information about writers and their time period, or about the way books are arranged in the library. (according to year and name)

That should make it easy for your to find out which bookcase you're looking for. :)

Hope that wasn't too vague...it's been a while since I played the game.

Oh dear, i think i have to declare this game officially shit. Ive encountered the bits where a bar comes up and you need to make it stay in the middle. Once for Carla, and i failed that bit, and 5 times for Lucas until i lost all my lives. WTF is that about. I was tapping it really fast, then i tried just holding. How shit indeed.

Lol, the game isn't shit dude, even if those situations you describe can be really suck. The Carla thing is in the asylum, right? And the Lukas one is at the fairground...iirc. there aren't too many of these tests, fortunately. So try to bear them out if you can :)

I found that gently tapping keys left and right works pretty well...but it's still hard.

It was Carla in the archives, a tough cop investigator petrified of the dark. Then Lucas at home being attacked by furniture.

lol, well she may be a cop but she still has fears you know ;) that's what makes the game so intense; the characters are all flawed and realistic.

As for the furniture attacking...I told you it would get freaky

I picked up this game preowned from work in the 3 for 2 offer - freaking sweet game!

Only played an hour or two, slowly at that to enjoy the story and take it in. Really really liking it.

Last thing I did before now was kill the main char by taking alcohol and pain meds at the same time, and now I'm off to bed.

Quality game though!
