I played Halo on PC... it sucked ass. I actually finished the game to see what the fuss was about... it ended up being extremely repetitive and mostly uninspired level design mixed with the usual shooter formula (vehicles being the only cool part, and done better by others) and a weak story. I was left very dissatisfied.

Have you ever played any console C&C games?

Yup, I loved them all :D

I think the problem with Halo 1 was the part where you meet the flood. It sucked. Long level, stupid enemies and annoying deaths galore.

Yup Halo on PC was shit. #2 was shit. #3 will be shit coz they're still too hung up on their "omfg look, we can make shiny things! wait... gameplay?"

Yes Mole, BG2 on console... it would be like FF online. You'd need a keyboard to play it properly. I'll give CnC3 their dues, they worked it well, but even if they did it like that you'd have to choose char 1 of 6, then choose spellbook, then choose spell. It'd be a nuisance. It can be annoying enough on the pc with the mouse sometimes!

Btw they did attempt BG2 on consoles Peltz... well "Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance" and "Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance 2". Never played 'em, they sell well (old now, only get 'em second hand) but mr mole informed me they're arcadified.

As far as i know BG on PS was nothing like like BG on PC. Well it had something to do with elves and dwarves, fighters and mages. But that's about it, don't think it even falls under the RPG category. A friend of my brother had it btw.

That'd be the same as CnC. Pretty much exactly.

Choose unit (either on screen, or using groups, much like the character portrait)

Either attack (target enemy, just like BG)

or do advanced moves (Like the formations in CnC or the special attacks)

It could almost literally use the exact same system as CnC. Also J is correct, the BG's on consoles were arcade games, kinda like the Lord of the Rings stuff that came out, or Eragon.

A believe Dark Alliance was one of Interplay's attempts to evade bankruptcy by making some more money off the BG name. It had nothing to do with the two PC titles.

thats why i said they were arcademised at the bottom of my post :P *slaps* read it! lol

And yeah i know thats what they do mr mole, hence i said they could do it like CnC but i just figure towards the end the menus would be far larger than CnC menus hence it really would just end up being a nuisance. If they can pull it off, great. cept the buggers went bankrupt *sigh*

Did you guys even read what I put? ;) lol

No :P

Anyway,

Postal 3 Game Footage

From a critics point of view.

No dynamic lighting (shadows cast down, no shadows from objects, no shadows on object when people use them such as the chair in the diner)
GTA syndrome (Same enemies again and again)

Nice smooth looking environment
Gameplay looks like Dead Rising which was awesome
Blood :D

hey, even I read (most) of the posts and I don't own an xbox.

Anyway, regarding postal3... they irritated me with postal 2. I bought it when it came out for ~$40 or whatever....6 months later they came out with the multiplayer (which they'd been talking about for awhile) and they tried to sell it... but you could buy the whole game (with multiplayer) for $20 in stores at that point (I think). So I got crapped on for buying it on release which I think is crappy.

Postal 3 looks like more of the same. Better graphics of course. :)

uh. May I mention that I play guitar and I find guitar hero offensive. hehe. But by all means, post pictures of yourself jamming out. I'll probably forward it to my coworkers. heheh.
