hah, sounds like business as usual to me. Just like why people in America have to pay 2-3x as much for prescription medicine as people in some other countries (like Mexico). The big pharmaceutical companies can get away with it, so they do. Thanks to patent law, it's not like they have any competition.

Well, true, I make three times less; but to people who come visit me the difference is remarkable nonetheless It's only a one-hour flight from Brussels to Prague so...world of difference over a short distance (relatively speaking).

As for me, I'm doing great. I'm actually a little lost here in Belgium, I mean I feel like my 'home' is there now, you know? With my own apartment, my job, my girl etc over there. The only thing that could be better is the lack of internet...that's the only reason why I'm not on the forums here that often anymore really.

Funny how I don't really miss it anymore, though. First month(s) was hell, but after that it eased. But I'm working on getting the intarwebs...kinda necessary. I'm not that lazy anymore either, out of sheer necessity I work from 9 tot 6 every weekday and often throw in overtime and bank holiday working, and then I have to cook, wash, clean, the shabang. SO I don't have THAT much time left anymore; which is hard to manage for someone who was used to bathing in seas of time.

I do have 5 weeks of paid holiday a year, so that balances out. How are you? Promoted again by now? Systems analyst to IT manager?

yea...minor promotions here and there, no raises for several months. That's ok, I'm becoming indispensable...I'm doing all these custom programming projects. Bleh...beyond that, I'm actually going out IRL alot. There's actually a world out there, it's amazing.

I can't believe you get 5 weeks of vacation, you bastard. Freakin' Europe, I swear. I get 3. When I hit 5 years at my company I get 4. I think it's 5 years...might be 4, I don't remember.
