That's cool. It's totally not a game for me...it looks too WoW and, tbh, the graphics look like ass. Vanguard is still cool with me, but I'm not sure if it'll keep my attention for more than 6 more months. Unless SOE really steps up to the plate, I'll be jumping ship for Conan and Huxley. Still looking forward to those suckers.

Btw, not sure I mentioned it, but I got through finishing up LoTR + silmarillion not too long ago. There's definetely mad material there for an online game. I'm just afraid it'll be gayified.

BTW, what's the time setting? Right after Lotr? During? Before?

It's set during LotR, but parallel to it. Me and Mole have just met up with Strider in the Prancing Pony, not sure what we have to do with him next though. And there is free content being released next month which is basically about getting the shards of Narsil to be reforged. Some such thing anyway.

Can't deny the graphics have nothing on VG, but its still a nice looking game, not cartoony like WoW which is always good. Crafting isn't great though, really, really need a good crafting game. If only VG wasn't so group oriented it would be ideal for me.

That honestly depends. You don't have to have groups if you know where to go and you're the right class. Shiny and I 2 manned it most of the way, actually. It's just the high end (4 dot) content you have to have groups for. Try rolling a cleric. :p

As for the graphics, I thought it did look like WoW, but maybe that's just me. Anyway, I'm totally a graphics whore. I want my games to be beautiful.

yeah I know but its horribly slow. I don't mind slow, hell my main char is a tamer in UO and thats the slowest you can get, but there's slow and then there's frustrating and boring. I don't wanna have to reroll a cleric just because they can solo, I pick the class I enjoy and expect to be able to solo if I want. Or 2 man it (as we are in lotro with the occasional 3rd person atm)

Anyhoo on the subject of VG i hear they're looking to merge the servers

Yea, server merge is on the way to boost server pop. Finding groups for advanced content is problematic at times.

For the solo content....Solo is rough, I'll give you that. Duo isn't bad. You can do ALOT solo. Alot of people get hung up on doing stuff they shouldn't in tiny groups.... like Khegor's End, Trengal Keep and Vol Tuniel. That's group content. But the alternative is 3 rivers/renton keep, Misthaven and Northern border/Southwatch.

anyway, viva individuality. We're all individuals!

So the next big article of this game will be about Lego nudity. And somehow i have the feeling that flamethrower would be awesome in this game.

Oh and instead of bandages, some quickfix glue and a rubber band? :D

hehe.... would there even be violence in a Lego MMO? What the hell would you do? I have a sneaking suspicion it'll be a Lego version of Second Life.

SOE presents: The Agency

Quote:
The Agency will be a persistent online shooter in which players can step into the world of international espionage, working for one of two main factions with the ultimate goal of controlling the world.

I wonder if that would be Sony and Microsoft? :D
