heh, cool. I don't play much... usually I'm playing Vanguard, so I have a long ways to go still. Grats on finishing it. I assume you weren't too disappointed?

Its cool, but it could be so much more. I found it weird that no opponent used grenades, but then again Load button would have been just that much more better friend.

In the end its a decent FPS game with an excellent story, deep down its still FPS and repetitive kicks in. After a while you start to think, hey my killcount reached 12000, i have now officially killed a small village, a village where everyone looks exactly the same besides the clothes they wear.

Yeah, it's pretty cool, but a few days ago, I ran into a few bugs which may determine me dropping this title and going back to online ArmA. It was a quest bug, but besides that, the geographical linearity is starting to get to me.

I got to a bit where killing was actually getting easier, in a relieving kind of way. The weapon i have at the mo' is
a G36 and it kicks ass, but I do need something for close up combat, like a better shotgun.
I finished it and got the lamest ending ever. I got the "I want to be rich" one. To be honest i didnt have a clue of the whole story throughout the entire game. The last bits got really buggy, besides, i hardly got to use all of the guns at all. It also ended rather quickly.

Another shit game in the vast annals of crapness.

Lol, thats coz you didnt finish the game friend. That is one of the wrong endings of the game. The main story unveils from what might seem a side quest but in the end turns out to be the one.

Well, I mentioned this in the RPG forum, but I had to restart Stalker. I was playing the original unpatched version and my saves started to not work. Any new saves would crash the game (CTD) any time I tried to load them. I was on 1.0... the 1.03 patch I applied killed all 1.00 saves, so I had to start over.

That kind of ok, though...I wanted to replay it anyway. And now that I know what I'm doing the game isn't quite so difficult. I've picked up the fast firing AK-74su (I think that's what it was) and it OWNS.

Oh, I was in Pripyat when my game crapped.

Pity, but yeah, once you figure out how the opponents "act" it kinda becomes easier though sudden deaths were not uncommon even towards the end.

yea, I still get pwnt, don't get me wrong. But the first time through the very first battle with bandits (in the abandoned buildings in cordon) was almost impossible. This time I breezed it.

So anyway, I'm going toward the mobile lab or whatever in Yantar. I'm also ignoring most of the side quests. :p

I found this page, btw. The guy's rewritten alot of the shaders in STALKER to look better and/or work faster. I applied it and to be honest I don't notice much of a difference, but bleh.

finally finished this game today. I first did the false ending (the money one), then the real one (merging), then the real one part b (pure murder). It was fun. Great game, tbh. Reminds me alot of FEAR without being so ghey. :p

Anyway...I'm trying to figure out how to get at the videos so I can see the other false endings. Anyone know how? I have an extraction tool to extract the db files, but I couldn't find the videos. :/
