I was wondering if any of you play poker for (real) money online?
And if so: where?

Since i'm not that good that i'm willing to spend my own money on it, i just started playing on crazypoker, where you can get 15 dollar for free by registering (you have to send a copy of your ID, so paranoiacs like ox probably won't like it ). If anyone needs to know how that bonus works, i'll link you to it.

I find it fun to play an hour of poker after a hard day of work, and playing 1 hour of Morrowind doesn't bring you anywhere, so it's a good alternative for me.

Mm i wonder how long it was since i started a topic myself. Btw poker is getting hot in Belgium it seems. Even the kids in class carry around poker chips.

I like poker, but im pretty green at it. Ive played once with another 5 people (£1 buy in) and even though I lost (4th place), it was fun. I wonder if there is an online poker game that works on fake money. I havent found one yet. I might play quids-in tonight with my 2 bros.

No but seriously, I don't play poker online but I do bet on a lot of other stuff on unibet.com. It's pretty easy, you register and do a bank transaction (minimum of 15€ I think) to their account and you can get started: they've got tons and tons of sports bets and a whole range of betting games, including poker, blackjack, roulette, etc.

I usually only bet on sports, but occasionally I spend some money on the smaller games. Roulette is my favorite as it's easy to play on your own against the 'house'. I never tried the poker games but I think you need to download a seperate plugin for them, not sure.

Oh and don't bother waiting on advice from our American pals here; online gambling is illegal in the States.

5 minutes after that post I won 60€ and lost it all again.

What happened was that they had a promotion giving you 5€ you could spend for free in their 'casino' if you had spent a certain amount in the last couple of days. I did so and found the 5€.

I chose roulette, put the 5€ on black and won...so I had 10€. Then I put the 10 on black again and had 20€. Feeling lucky by now, I put everything on the first row and won again!! 60€!!

But it went to my head when I put my entire 60€ on the third row and didn't win. Back to scratch...I should have cashed when I had the chance dammit!!

A lot of poker clients have 'play money' tables = fake money tables.
I started on those tables, there i learned how to play (a bit, still quite green, still making stupid mistakes), although it's not that easy there since you meet a lot of all in maniacs (it's play money anyway, can't really lose).
If you would want to start at the 'better' tables, you might want to try pokerstars and ask me some chips (i think they're transferable not completely sure). Because the beginner beginner tables can be annoying and you don't learn that much there.

Just remember: play money = fake money. I think all clients i play or played on have them.

I love playing poker - just not at casinos on weekends. My brother used to play poker online - but they are shutting down all of the sites in the US because of some BS law they passed. All crap in my opinion.

lol...if you think Vegas is hawt, take a trip to Belgium! Legal gambling on- and offline, legalized prostitution (it's an actual profession that pays taxes and ha social security and shit), drinking from 16 on (and actually lower), using cannabis is legal and you can say the word fuck on tv! Oh and there's not even a discussion on abortion and euthanasia is legal. Everything is Vegas here, minus the money and the fancy hotels. hehehe

I just installed Mulitplayer Champioship Poker from download.com, but it doesnt let me play multiplayer. Someone point me out to a multiplayer "playmoney" client if u know one.
