 MP3 Editing
I need to shorten the length of an MP3. Does anyone know of any software that does the trick? Free software, obviously.

goldwave has a trial version. It's an extremely powerful audio editing suite. The trial never expires, it just makes you close and reopen the app after so many button clicks.
You may have to install an mp3 decoder with it, but you probably already have one installed. If not, you can get LAME from the same place.

Yeah, goldwave looks pretty cool.
I think this will do the job nicely, even with some fade-out options, and volume changes.
