Checking the sites tho it seems archaeologically sound. The geophys report is OK and there seems to be a play down of the significance which is always good for sciences. Anyway I think I would rather wait until I know more. Its still not too clear.

agreed, it may be complete bunk. The press's desire to pick up 'exciting' stories before there's any serious scientific basis is legendary. But it is interesting. It would certainly change a few things we thought we knew about ancient history.
Anyway, downs/mongloidism isn't exactly what I had in mind.

It's all an insidious plan that spans over the ages...they inflitrated society by posing as helpless, friendly handicapped ppl.
But the moment we turn our backs, they shall rise again!!
Cfr. my run-in with a handicapped kid at the pool, years ago...they're more evil than they look.  Because of him ppl at that pool looked at me funny for years.
