Came from evolution and the desire to "civilise" the lesser races. And you've also got to remember that the colonisation lark really took off then.

haha. Well, I support free speech in all its forms. Doing it on purpose to piss off the West is pretty stupid. Personally, I think we're way too touchy-feely about the holocaust anyway. I mean, like WWII, anyone that actually witnessed it is either really freakin' old or dead. I think it's time we came to terms with it.

My opinion is - yes it happened and I feel that it shouldn't happen again- we should keep reminding ourselves about it but not to allow people a moral blank cheque. Finally, considering the age of the people- I think Satis is right and we should not demand apologies from the Germans. At the same time tho, people shouldn't deny its existence as it did happen and it was one of the worst genocides plus it has taught us a lot about human rights...

sure, I'll agree there. Recognize it happened and was a horrible thing, but don't get all freaky about it. Ditto about alot of other PC points...women's rights, black rights/slavery, equal opportuinity, discrimination (in all its forms)...if people weren't afraid of it, it wouldn't be a damned problem.

I agree it's different.
But I agree that the whole slavery thing needs to go away. That's even older than the holocaust. We haven't had slavery in the US in over 100 years. I was just about to post something on that "competition".
Im getting rather cheesed off. I constantly see piss-takes of the chrisitian religion, yet i do not see christian fundamentalists protesting in London. Furthermore, i think that holocaust cartoon jokes are more of a "bad-joke" than mohammad cartoons.
