holy shit...I love my connection. I just downloaded that videa in about 10 seconds. I averaged over 2MB/sec. Just thought I'd share. muhahahaha
*edit* Wow...that games looks like...quake III. Only with better graphics. And darker. I'm not sure what to think about that. It even had the voice.

I thought you loved QIII? Or hoping for some orginiality?
I think the Quake guys are promoting it as "the original deathmatch gameplay" thing. So they're not really trying to change stuff.

I'm not sure. I was hoping for some evolution, not the exact same game in prettier clothes. Then again, there's supposed to be a serious single player game in there, so perhaps that's the evolution? I would expect more from Raven than that.

lol strangely enough Mole said the same things. He loves Quake III and seemed to enjoy this video, but also seemed a lil disappointed that the looks haven't changed.

Not really 'games to watch' but good budget games...maybe I should start a new thread next time. Anyway:
Freelancer
Max Payne 2: the fall of Max Payne (0wnz j00)
Warcraft III+ Frozen Throne (played it recently, still great)
Far Cry
Sim City 4 (Deluxe)
Medal of Honor warchest (game + Breakthrough+ Spearhead)
Battlefield 1942 Anthology (game+ Road to Rome+ Secret Weapons)
All budget titles now that you should look out for in your game shops. I especially recommend Far Cry, WCIII and MOH warchest.

I wouldn't bother with Battlefield:1942. That's a 100% online game, and if you can't find good servers to play on, what's the point? Spend the extra couple bux and buy Battlefield 2 if you want that experience.

Compared to CoD it definitely sucks; but that can be said for many shooters. I played the CoD2 a few times on super-detail and hi-res and omg, that rocks.

It's my opinion too derfy boy I loved MoH back in the day. But the last one I played was... wtf was it called? the one on the playstation 2... frontline? maybe. And the first level (beach) was a dirrecty rip of the scene from Saving private ryan. And it was the best level after that too.
I think I prefered hidden and dangerous... which you can now download for free by the way.

 wow! *Dances around his room*
There's a Dutch civilisation in AoE III! W00t! And we're greedy bastards! W00t!
I checked the site when my euphoria cooled down a bit and saw some interesting things, for example, you can forge alliances with Native American tribes to gain new technologies and troops, which means there are a lot of combinations possible. You also have a 'Home City(tm)' which can be customized by playing often and the better you are, the more succesful your Home City becomes.
AoE III has become kind of interesting *twitch* What? 60 euros for the game? 80 for the Collectors Edition? AoE could've become kind of interesting, but I'll wait till it's in the budget bin before I'll pick it up. (God that game looks good btw). Gah, what kind of a Dutchman am I! I don't even have enough money to buy AoE (actually, I have a sock full of coins hidden under my bed but I refuse to spend it, because I'm Dutch). [/rambling]

lol AoE is to me something I'll buy once its in the "3 for £10" range at GAME, simply to make up the '3' when I have 2 others I want. I played the demo. I'ts good, but its more of a skirmish game than a story mode, and even then, the skirmish is only good ever so often.
But you can play englishers! yay go us englishers! #cough#
