hehe i had fun on my own today
Took a nice lil trip up from Rankor Camp, through Snakes Dance, right up to Lornar Pass. So basically right up to Beacons Perch (or whatever its called). Then I went back to Rankor and went to Grenths Footprint for the first time ever, found Deldrimor War Camp and briefly ventured into Sorrows Furnace.
All I've heard about GF/SF is how hard its meant to be... so why the heck was 1, a lvl 20 R/Me, 7 henchies and a lvl 20 Moa kicking that place's ass so hard? Stupid game.

omg, it was hard. I have several people that made it there...just try doing some of the missions. Ungodly.
How about Saturday?

Saturday will be good for me, I'm working 11 - 3 and thats it. Mole might not be able to join though, his mate is coming round for the weekend and he'll be arriving Sat evening. Me n Mole are both off today, Ox won't be around til this evening though.
edit: I did try that mission you get if you enter from Snakes side. The 10k one (help 5 different people get to SF and do whatever they want there). I got one of the guys, took him into SF and was doing fine through it until I stopped paying attention at one point and got smushed in about 2 seconds. But til that point I was having no trouble. I didn't fight any bosses in SF though yet. But I fought 2 or 3 (no green items) in GF.

I fought down snakesdance once...was rough but not undoable with a group fo 20s. The SF area isn't too bad...I can handle it with henches if I'm slow. Actually going into SF and doing the missions isn't horribly bad with henches either....but I've only done one (the first dude). And the last mission is OMFG hard. You'll find out, I'm sure.
What's the 10k mission you're talking about? Where do you get it?

*shrugs*
I started at Camp Rankor. Entered Snakes Dance, then from there entered Grenths Footprint, so I was on West end of GF. Right inside that door was some little dwarf guy who said there were 4 people in GF that had missions inside SF. Said the reward would be 10,000xp.
I've found where 3 of the guys are (can only take one at a time though ) so I took one called something like Killroy Stonekin. (nice shout, like the one at Abaddons Mouth: 50% faster skill regen/energy regen/25% faster movement). Have to take him into SF to kill some boss who apparently killed his brothers and he wants revenge. That quest gives me 3,000xp.
Just looked. The quest is just called "Into Sorrows Furnace" and lists the 4 people you have to help.
hehe and I've been up and down Snakes Dance numerous times in the last week. Had 'villainry of Galrath' selected and was trying to reach it... when I finally got to Lornars Pass and realised the next green blip was on Beacons, I realised I was being incredibly dumb and I should start from Kryta

rofl...if you're doing Villainy, start from temple of ages if you have it. Or from bergen hot springs if you don't have ToA. If you don't have either one...well...shit. You might as well start from D'Allessio or whatever.
If we actually play together this weekend, I'll be happy to fight with you to these places. It's fun nuking all those bastards. :p

I'll probably be able to meet up with you guys on Saturday, if we get some kind of hour. With my lvl 14 warrior.
Btw Pev, I ran through some caves and made it to some pirate coast; but I got stuck there. On one side there's a 'boss' on a big beast, on the other there's tons of gargs. Neither of which would be a major issue if it weren't for the fact that all of them use slow. So my solo warrior can't use his sprint to run past them. (as I did with 2-3 areas before that, heh)
I knew I should have brought some damn henchies; I probably would have pwned that single boss on his thing. Solo opponents are always easy if you organize well.
Meh, we'll see...i'll keep trying. In the mean time, my Garfazz Bloodfang trophy pic! The healer died long before I got to the Bloodfang dude, but i totally owned him on my own. Ok, ok, I'm lvl 14, but Mole and Pev said he was totally hard! So I'm proud anyway.

Hmm, looks like they've moved Garfazz. Before, he was in an area simular to the fire temple, but it had 2 pyramids instead of the temple thingy, with a long bridge leading to one.
With around 50 or so char around him.

I know the area you're talking about. I thought it was the althea's ghost quest or whatever, but yea, the area is insane. Tons of bosses and shit. Very difficult, even for a higher level character.

Heh, that was the one me and Mole (well, half a Mole, with 55% DP) cleaned out for the Althea's ashes quest, indeed.
I'm really liking this game. Very open and all. The story isn't all that and all the characters are ventroliquists, but meh, can't have it all I guess.
DO we have an hour for somewhere in the weekend yet? How about...erhm...18pm GMT+1? (my time). That's 11pm for Satis and co, and 17pm for Caz and Mole. DA, you're in my time zone of course.
EDIT: btw, loot from one area, just my warrior: a black dye and 4 (!) purple items. Near kryta. Lucky shit That's already the second black dye I found, haha.

rofl....11pm? 18pm? Is this some sort of belgian timestamp system?
1100 hours maybe. Unfortuanetly, I'm in class. I get home from class around 1300 hours (1pm). That's at GMT -6, so that makes it 1800 GMT, 1900 Ox-Time.

Bastard, don't mock my timing mistakes! I'm crap at numbers
Well, i'm really good anywhere on Saturday, so let's see what Mole and Pev say. I culd have said that up front, but I wanted to keep up the illusion that I had a busy weekend.
