Hey guys, just wondered if you have any clue whats going on.

Before the upgrade, my dvd drive was fine. No odd noises or anything. After the upgrade, it works, but sometimes when I have a dvd in there, it makes a nasty grinding noise. Still works ok. Had Mole's Monkey! Dvd in and it was doing it, and then when I installed Settlers V today, it kept doing it just as the drive stopped trying to load from disc twice.

I don't actually use my dvd drive often (though I had a music cd in it the other day which made no odd noises) so any ideas what could be causing it? Like I say, there are no corrupt files/inability to load anything. Just really don't like the sound. lol.

if it's making noises, it's probably a physical problem with the drive. Nothing to do but get a new one eventually. My opinion, at least.

My DVD drive is making vibration noises when i put in certain DVD's like Farcry or ripped pornography. Dont really know why its making a physical noise.

I think its got to with me needing a new DVD drive.

if it vibrates when you insert pornography, the drive is sick and needs a good spanking. then it needs to be dressed in garters, hit with a riding crop and called a bad monkey repeatedly while it cowers on the floor.

If that doesn't work, buy a new one.

Ahhh well. Moley boy needs a dvd so I might as well get a new one as well *sigh* Damned money sink! *beats crap out of pc*

if it makes you feel better, I need to buy a new one too. My honkin' badass cd burner silently died sometime over the last 9 months.

But now I have an excuse to buy another DVD burner, so bleh.

So... thats Mole that don't have one, Ox's is being gay, mine is threatening to rip my dvds to a shred, and satis' cd drive died. We're doing well

Well the dvd drive in my laptop sounds like a starting airplane when i start running a game from it. So i have to hit Esc as fast as possible to stop loading intro movies and such. Guess that isn't healthy either huh

I blame you all for it btw, you've brought this curse upon me!!

If the same problems occurs with the new one, buy the new one or consider stop watching pornography. It may be that the vibration noises comes from your head.

If the second does not work, pay a bodyguard to keep you out from pronography.

If the last does not work, pay another one bodyguard to keep the first one from taking bribe and so on.

Anyway...I have stacks of dead CD-ROM drives. It's so sad. Dead hard drives too. :p
