*not only pats but also kisses and proposes to his pc* Erh...nobody saw that, right? :?

Here's horse-info!

no mounted combat (awh)

Quote:
10.3 Will there be horses or other rideable mounts?
Yes, both ridable mounts will re-appear in Oblivion. Unfortunatly, mounted Combat won't be possible.

http://morrowind.ttlg.com/oblivion/ofaq.shtml#10.3

horses will go faster than travelling by foot (duh)

Quote:
3.3 Will there be other modes of travel available in Oblivion besides walking?
Horses appear in the game, and they can be used as mounts. There is also a fast travel ability that allows you to click on places you've visited previously and travel there, after the correct amount of time has passed

http://morrowind.ttlg.com/oblivion/ofaq.shtml#10.3

levelling up and behavior

Quote:
TCW: "What about the horses? Will they be able to level up and such just like your character? Please elaborate on the features or these beasts."

Pete Hines: "No, they don’t level up. They are a mode of transportation and, in truth, a bit of a status symbol for the player. They aren’t cheap. You’ll find different towns will have different types available and you can have several of them stabled in towns as you travel around. They’re like any other creature, so if you’re riding one and get attacked and you jump off to fight, your horse can be attacked, fight back, run away, be killed, etc."

horses can be bought or stolen

Quote:
Xbox.com: Oblivion features mounts. Will these be personally owned creatures, or rented?

Carter: You can purchase or steal a horse, and ride them around the world.

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/e32005/200505 ... andsOn.htm

and they can be stolen from you...(also, different kinds of horses are in)

Quote:
Q: Mounted steeds now make an exciting introduction within Oblivion; can you provide us with a little more information about this feature and how it’s implemented within the game?

A: You will be able to acquire a horse in Oblivion, and ride it around to your heart’s content. Horses grant you a nice speed boost, as well as really help capture that feel of being a knight riding around on horseback. There are several different varieties of horses to get, each with varying stats and look. While in town, you can store your horse in the stables, and pick it up when you’re ready to go. NPCs can use horses as well. If you’re not careful, they may even steal yours!

There ya go...God, I'm such a freak. I'm gonna know more about the game before it's here than when I really get it.

rofl ox now you earned God status in my eyes. But as if you can't fight from horseback *sulks slightly*

i swear if any bastard npc steals my horsie, they'll ALL be killed. Every one of the gits! Lol but that's pretty cool to know. I'll of course have to get every single horse for myself ;)

Of course....*cough*horsefreak*cough* ;) Erh, I didn't say anything, honest! And no problem of course...as you can tell by my mass posting today, I'm bored out of my skull.

I'll try to find more cool news on Oblivion, hope I didn't deplete the sources yet for now. :D

pssssst find the release date ;) lol

well companies are advertising it as around £27 right now (work it out yourself for your own currency; basically slightly cheaper than a full price new pc game)

Looking in the game catalogue I got, Oblivion for the 360 isn't marked at any price, just coming soon.

I'd be willing to bet that 360 games will be expensive.

Im going to have to get this, its as simple as that.

Bonus for it being cheaper. Theyve probably forecasted huge sales.

well i went into game the other day for a chat. and the two guys there who are obsessed with it say the console version is down for a rough release date before christmas. no actual date set, and nothing on the PC version yet. But could be a good sign that it's only gonna be 6 months at top... *fingers crossed*
