just went back to my lvl 9 char for a few mins today, took out a heavy orc with one arrow that was poisoned at lvl 1. dammit i love that so much. went down in like 1 second!

lol, keep playing the damn game till the end dammit you!! I got a few games in line before i would start on DD again, but i'll get there eventually.

Anyway, i just picked up this game, so have some questions about it. I solved some of my problems already (like how the F*** do you pick up that pyramide half), but i got something annoying that needs solved.

You might remember there's a big orc who needs an axe 'Slasher'. This axe looks pretty cool so i'm not willing to give it up, therefore i give him a fake, mock him, and start fighting.
Now the problem is that i can't save anymore when i do this. Which obviously SUCKS.

And now i picked up another quest, where somebody needs his amulet back, but he turns out to be a regular ass. If i solve it the 'bad way' again i seem unable to save. Which obviously SUCKS A LOT.

So anyone familiar with this problem, suggestions, comments??

Ok well pick up the pyramid half = open inventory, click and drag into inventory. Took me a few goes of randomly teleporting to figure that one out

Never had this problem... to be honest I've NEVER found Slasher in the... 5 characters that I've started. I take it you've downloaded the patch? I know I've had the odd problem with corrupted savefiles before downloading the patch so could be worth checking, but I've never encountered being unable to save...

Hehe, thx, i already solved that pyramide issue (searched for a walkthrough for that one, i just kept teleporting ).

Slasher is under some special tile btw, on the next floor where you find tons of axes (and i still don't have the strength to use them ..) how did you miss that one Pev?

And i have the patch indeed, if other problems come up i'll check the official fora maybe, as for now i'll just go ahead and hope nothing gets screwed up.

I just solved the second quest the 'good way' to avoid the whole mess, i'll be playing Mr. Nice Guy i guess.

I just discovered the 'poison weapon' ability, works very well i must say.
Problem with all of the skills is that i don't know which one to choose, i want them all

I you choose them all, you will suck. If you specialise in one, you will pwn.

lol god knows how i missed it. I guess I'll be starting character #6 sometime then hehe. or going back with my others... who knows

Poison weapon is brilliant; get a bow and some poison and away you go! Seriously you can take anything out like that pretty much... I was taking out level 15 orcs whilst only level 6 coz as long as you run, poison, run, poision etc they just die and you get huge exp for them of course! hehe.

Just don't do what i did when I found a poison keg... I needed the weight allowance and dropped it at my feet. keg bursts open and poisons me *sigh*

I'm sticking to the 'nice guy' route for now too. Just seems easier. BTW if you want lots of poison potions go to the human town of...er... *thinks* dammit can't remember but its the one the doctor lives in, coz there are two people there that sell potions so you can stock up on lots

What's really good (and kinda confusing) in this game is the freedom i seem to get. I don't know which way to run too first, i'm currently kicking orc ass (i really need my poison on those special big orcs), i got the feeling i already picked some useless skills but bleh, i'll hope i don't get stuck somewhere because of that.

Personally i prefer the 'freeze' and attack with poisoned axe tactic on the though guys

Aye, i enjoyed the freedom very much more than anything. Combat wasnt great and plot wasnt either. But the freedom was good because unlike games that i hate (Neverwinter Nights) you can go where you want to when you want to. Just dont trust in coming out alive.

You guys should have tried Daggerfall, that was 1337 in terms of freedom. For its time, that is.

Im currently having a good go at Morrowind with Tribunal and Bloodmoon. Im really enjoying it. Im lvl 12 crusader.
