The Black Xbox look was better. Much better. The Xbox is the only good thing to come out of Micro$oft.

If the ps3 is anything like the ps2, I don't even want to find out when it's realeased. The ps2 was a piece of shit, through and through. And that's not just my fanboyism, that's talking from a years experience of owning a ps2 that I got for christmas, then buying the Xbox... wow.

Don't care. I've had more fun on consoles overall, than I've had on any PC, though I do appreciate PC gaming. Sucks to be you lot, I get the best of both worlds, you get only 1.

Tbh, the only thing that is fun on consoles are sports games (footie, basketball)...all the other stuff is either pretty crap or some sort of Japanese RPG (*shudders*), and the good things on there can be done better on pc. Racing games with better graphics, shooters with better controls, etc.

A console would be cool to play GTA: SA a long time before it comes out on pc, but when it's on pc the graphics are a league or three better, the games has been tweaked and usually extra content is added. So well...

I always had the feeling that if they didn't release it for consoles first, the sales would be much, much lower for such a game. In that line of thinking: I can't think of many legendary (non-Jap, non-kid-friendly design) games that never made it to pc. Barely any, even.

Even so, FPS do work exceptionally well on Consoles, especially powerfull consoles with a decent controller, like xbox (but i don't like the look of the 360 controller) where as the Ps2 controll would be horible (infact, IS horible) for FPS.

Racing games are better on consoles, unless you buy a steering wheel or PC game pad, you get better controll on Consoles, as most pads are nearing entirely analogue.

Graphics, I again have to disagree with. Consoles keep up well. I'll admit, they are keeping up, not leading though. A console is as good as a PC (Xbox wise anyway) on it's launch, but obvouisly, without the ability to upgrade, gets outdated.

I haven't seen a PC running Doom 3, but screenshots wise the Xbox equals it and doesn't slow down.

Extra content - is becoming more and more for the Xbox aswell, especially via live. Adding content to shit you already have is awesome. Sometimes you have to pay if you want it right away though, but if you wait it out, you get it free. *wishes he hadn't paid for those SC:PT maps now*

GTA:SA Sucks. Really. At least, the Ps2 version does because quite honestly, even if you get past the strong "black culture" the sheer size of the game means that ps2 had to cut back on graphics, making it graphically WORSE that GTA3 and VC. and the game STILL SLOWS DOWN.

Maybe when it hits Xbox it'll be better (As the first two GTA's were, they had added graphics etc) but I'm not buying it, because the game was crap. They turned GTA in to an RPG. and failed.

With Xbox 360, MMO's are coming to consoles (maybe they'll relaunch True Fantasy Live Online, i hope) so again, consoles are catching up with PC's. Especially with 3 CPU's!

The Xbox 360 only has 512 ram, However, the previous one I think had 256, but this particular ram was equal to 512 PC style ram. So 512 is more than you think.

EDIT: Oh, and Halo on the PC sucks.

I much prefer PC gaming BUT halo sucks on pc, rules on Xbox. Fable, great as its gonna be on PC, will actually be better on xbox (apart from the lack of the new content ) simply because its a very linear-pathed game; you can't wander off the track at all.

sports games suck on all formats Racing games are ok but only coz you can go mad and crash at 3000000mph.

Oh and btw, GTA3 on the PC has shitty graphics compared to Xbox GTA3, but the PC one of course beats the crap out of PS2... and GTA:SA is supposed to be better looking on Xbox and PC coz they've gotten rid of that horrible old-timey "lets blur everything brown" look. But the game sucks anyway And there's no way that it can slow down on the Xbox as much as it does on the PS2.

Overall I'll stick to my PC and then just buy the odd couple of Xbox 360 games i want and steal mr moles console

The Xbox specs look sexy, but I'm still no fan of consoles. FPS games suck, don't even think about RTS games, and I simply hate racing games, so I don't even care if they are better on consoles.

I like only a few Racing games. GT sucks, only the first one was good (though I've yet to play four) I like the TOCA series, and the od MotoGP game.

FPS games only suck If they are made bad. Halo is one of the greatest ever FPS and the PC version sucks. Doom 3 is still awesome on the Xbox too, but I don't actually think I've played many others, though I'll probably be picking up a copy of Pariah and Half Life 2 when that's released.

i've had a ps2 ever since it came out, and at first it was amazing but they've had no good games on it for like ages

consoles are sweet though

and FPS only work on the xbox because of auto aim, which apparently isn't that bad but it nowhere near compares with a keyboard and mouse

In Halo the auto aim is minimal, and I use the pistol most of the time anyway (no auto aim) and go for head shots. In halo 2 however, auto aim has been jacked to the max and it spoiled the game.

I turned atuo aim off in Doom 3 (must finish that!)

And yeah, the ps2 was good for a week, then all the games were shit. and still are.

lol, autoaim is seriously weak. But the backwards compatible thing is cool.

Consoles are (like Ox said) better for sports: Footie, Racing...

Controlling cars and players on a QWERTY is hell.

Additionally, consoles are simple and therefore kids prefer consoles.

On the other hand, the PC is better at everything else.
