You're right that it isn't always clear what you should do. Although you could always start reading the help
But you if you have energy, you can
a) go to the forest, fight some furry animals and such to gain exp, plat and gold. At lvl 10 you get to enter the dark forest (ooh spooky) and then it's getting more interesting (stronger enemies, better rewards)
b) go to the lumber mill, to gain gold (but no exp)
c) attack another player (upper ven to list players by lvl etc.)
If you don't have energy you can
a) buy an outpost, it's a sort of minigame where you can earn tokens, these tokens can get you food and drinks to keep going longer, or you can upgrade your outpost
b) fishing: if you have the money to buy a rod and such, you can start fishing every day. Atm i think it costs a lot of money for what it is, considering you pay 5k gold for a stupid license.
c) mining: to get you some of those ores you see on the market, you can sell them for money, at lvl 30 you can use them to make items (i heard)
You can also play in the casino or play hangman, but i don't recommend that (maybe hangman will let you earn money, but as a non-native english speaking ehm guy it's not always so obvious)
Btw dunno if you know this already pevil, but 1 red ore has the same value as 2 blue ones (has got to do with the smithy thing), so if blue stands at 200 gold and red at 350 nobody (that knows this) will buy the blue ones.
We're in a major clan war btw, don't know how it started, and i'm getting raped serieusly by higher lvl's. Lucky that healing doesn't cost me.
Almost lvl 25 thief, just upgraded my equipment and skills a bit, hope i'll get raped less now. But not counting on it.
now that was a big rant

I'm a level 6 swordsman now, and I too get kicked by higher level players from another clan. Sissies. Try to take on someone of your own level.
Also in RotW btw, name Arathorn off course.

Hey suga, i just see you've applied for our clan too. Could be they'll ignore you though, with this clan war thing they've put the limit to lvl 10 to accept people (i think).
It's a game about fighting stuff, and she focusses on the kitties. Sheesh, women.
I've levelled up so fast that i'm getting beat up by NPC enemies in the dark forest i run in to, now that sucks.
If anybody needs help/hints, just give me a yell.

What is the best thing to do with platinum?

lol *doesn't count the cats that have died at my hands* oopsie
I've been exchanging it for tokens over at the plat shop but you can put it up for sale in the market if you'd rather get gold for it.

You also need it to buy your skills, which are the key to survival really.
I wouldn't sell any platinum for tokens, you really need it to buy those skills.
I hope you're putting points in wisdom as well, didn't see much use for it at first, but once you start getting under attack from other players you suddenly realize that you're only hitting them for 1 damage (most of times defense exceeds attack, since you have more items that give you defence bonus) and that you need those skills to stand a chance in that battle
Of course you need platinum to buy them first, you'll be able to buy your first skill at lvl 10 *cough* weren't you lvl 10 already pevil?
Heavy arrow: Fire an arrow with extra power. Adds +2 to your attack
Not that bad for 15 plat i'd say
Btw: if you need a bit of gold/platinum/tokens to buy something you need, just ask and i'll loan it to you (probably). Like when at lvl 10 you want to buy your skill but don't have enough plat, send me a mail (ingame) and i'll see what i can do.
Oh and pevil wth are you doing with all these tokens, shouldn't you expand your outpost a bit (buy outposts)? For every outpost you can get 1 mine, which gives you 6-10 tokens if you 'mine'. So if you build a few outposts + mines you can get tokens by mining, and once in a while attack lower lvl's. And buy goblin juice or so every day.
Oh and i think i owe you 6 tokens pevil

as for stats im keeping them fairly balanced at the moment. only reason i had tokens btw j was coz i went mining last night before i went to bed and couldn't be bothered figuring out what to spend them on *glares* no killing me!

These 6 tokens i stole won't make the difference, i lost 300 last night because i suddenly had to stop playing.
I'm lvl 30 now, and you can only attack people 15 lvl's lower. SO i'll need you to lvl up a bit first, then you can taste my steel (j/k)

Chamber of wisdom, and you got to configure them there as well.
And start killing low lvl newbies for good experience and gold
Little suggestion: if you go to the upper ven, you can do a 'custom search'.
Do a search on lvl's you feel confident you can attack and sort them by 'gold in hand', that way you can earn some money + exp.
I'm always rightclick-open in new window to see where they are and how many days they're members, if they're in a forest they'll have less hp probably as well, so even easier kills.
Yeah i'm an evil bastard, i know.

I refuse to fight players more then two levels lower then me.
I recently found out you can improve your stats with AP as well. Nice if you're suddenly able to make all stats 6 points higher.

Lol you're not very clever are you, it most have been a lot harder that way to kill enemies without improving your stats.
j/k it's not always easy to find everything out rightaway.
At first i had this 'honor' thing going on as well, untill i kept getting raped by the same high lvl (Entity's Paradigm) guys every revive. I thought "fuck it" and now i'm killing everything between lvl 15 and 30 with an EP tag (and that's not too strong for me ).
You'll get to know them soon enough, trust me.
*edit* as a warrior, make sure your agility is high enough, you'd think strength is your main concern, but at lvl 15 you get 'flex' which adds 5 to attack power every time you do it. I manage to beat most swordsman because they're too slow in building that strength up. Good swordsmen have high agility i think.

Yes I've been building a lot of agility. I think it's espescially usefull against mages. Better to hit them quick before they can hit you with their spells.
With a little selecting I can find enough enemies not much lower level then me and still beatable. I just try to stay away from mages.
