on the evil thing (now i have more time..)

i have no problem being pure evil, i cant believe these people going on about no having it in them, etc, after all, this is roleplay. you wouldn't stab someone in the street for their cash  i do like grand scale evil though, no just the petty thug level, which is why i like the kotor games, you'll a 'majestic' evil

ususlly why i don't play pyscho chaotic evil, i like to be more refined than that.

blah..gimme my red sabre..

hehe; are you criticizing my playing style there BJ?! Cos I might have to come and visit your family with my light sabre  Then again, in my playing style I could just as well visit them for no reason, so it's not really a threat...or not more than usual, anyway. :P ;)

But I know what you mean, hehe. More like a grand scheme than just killing eveyrhting you meet. Works too i'm sure, but if you kill everyone no one can stab you in the back later on. That's why I only used the robots as party members, like you might recall. ;)

lol. no man, whatever works.

i just like to think that a sith lord would be above just petty theft, etc. only kill the ones that attack you, get in the way, etc.

anyhoo, getting into the game now, about 8 hours in, getting interesting.

Hmm... I played it as Sentinal/Weapon Master and that worked out pretty good. Had enough Force Points, loads of HP, every melee combat feat and high skills (except Repair and Demolitions because they aren't Sentinal class skills). Guardian is optional if you want to become a 1337 melee fighter, but Weapon Master is a must, because there are some melee fighting feats (such as Superior Two Weapon Fighting 1-5 and Improved Saber Focus or something) which only they can choose.

And Nar Shaddaa... have you spoken to that Hutt yet? Solved the problems in the refugee sector? Or peraps you have to talk to the blue Twi'lek in the Docks sector... :? Can't really remember.

man, you name it. i've got the exchange off the refugees backs, killed the other lot that were giving them problems, spoken with the hutt and got the job the bring him the exchange boss, spoken to the guy in the toxic bar, everything. still no joy.

waiting for the patch, hopefully that will sort it all out.

seriously, i hate stuff like that which is triggered, so easily bugged. looked around forums, planty of other people moaning about it.

Just finished KOTOR I for the first time. Man, that game really blew me away completely! The best story in years, great pace, it never bores you. Defintely an all-time classic.

BTW Tyranus, how's number two in the mean time?

to be honest i'm getting fed up with it a bit. started so many games and got to roughly the same point on each so its getting very old.

main reason is that i'm waiting for the damn patch..i think its been about 6 weeks now.. sorry, but this game is as buggy as hell. :x

Mm, been reading up on kotor 2 in my gaming mag and the general feeling is: great game as such, but it's obviously been rushed to finish with bugs and a hard to follow storyline as a result. That's what you get when games 'must' be finished before the end of the holidays. :(

I'm getting this game somewhere in the near future, let's hope the second patch is out by then. :) Time to blacken the ol' heart and spit on all morals is drawing near.

just finished it now btw, the ending isn't as good as the first but the storyline is ok. took about 16 and a half hours and ended up at about 15 sentinel, 8 or 9 weapon master. the end battles where FAR to east imo. malak was tougher.

gonna go through now as a dark sider

Malak was tougher?? good god, I thought he was on the easy side already. Especially if you have the drain life skill yourself :)

Ok fellas, I got this game too now....already a good bit down the road to the darkside. But still no light sabre. :( Anyway, the usual character: a massive tank. superhigh CON, all hit point increasing and damage reducing feats; combined with a prowess in melee of any kind. And the usual persuasion/dominate skills. :)

I don't where Satis it at, so maybe slight spoiler:

I just left Pergamus (Peragus?), and I've already shifted quite a bit to the dark side...already got my evil jump suit thingie when I'm not wearing armor. Never bothered to equip anything during my entire stay on the planet either, kept going at it naked with nothing but a regular vibroblade. It never seemed like I needed something extra, barring the odd medpack.

I was more than glad to see that my faitful droids from kotor1 were both still there, hehehe. I've already grown a serious dislike for my servant Kreia, but the space pilot dude is ok enough -as long as he doesn't smart-mouth me.

Other impressions: game started off kinda slooooowly. Hope the pace picks up a bit soon.

yea, I'm playing too. Already far beyond ox. :p

I'm on a certain smuggler moon. Killed/murdered/lied my way through basically all the tasks on there that I could (I think I need stuff from other places to finish off some of em) and got jumped by someone with a lightsaber.

I'm rather unhappy with how KOTOR I/II likes to push you into fighting 1v1 with your main character against some badass. I'm just getting owned, despite the fact I'm a dual-wielding, force-lightning badass. What if I'd chosen to be a counselor or whatever it is, with no real fighting skills?

Anyway, I'll probably hop back to it eventually. May have to us some cheats to keep myself from getting miffed.

I don't like anything better than getting pushed into 1-on-1's with my main. Just a bit ago I got stuck in a battle between the leader and the lieutenant of the Exchange...of course I was wandering about without party members (once the lady started babbling if "i would react to everyone in the same psychotic manner" I knew it was time to ditch the others) and decided not to side with one of them but simply kill all of them at once...wasn't very easy. I was about to die when I lvld up in mid-battle and after assigning points I was back at full health and force.

That gave me the edge. Sucks that i don't get to run the Exchange on Peragus now though. :(

Just met the guy with the horns on his head. Looks nice enough. Of course, a wuss...I'll ditch him as soon as I can, but he seems to know his way around the area I'm in atm so I guess I'm stuck with him for now.
