Too many games, not enough time. I'll hit this up eventually, but not yet.

Ah, perhaps I can finally get rid of the 27,50 in coupons (got them a year ago ). Probably won't have time to play before Firday 25th, due to the pre-holiday homework pile-up and the big school play musical thing (every day from the 18th until the 23th, and I've got a cold, yay). Can't wait to play KOTOR II. I heard your choices will affect your party members, which is imo a loss because you won't get those 'difficult' decisions whether or not to kill certain party members. Hope the story will be as good as the one in KOTOR...

If it's half as good I'll be happy. It was a long time since any game suprised me like KOTOR, storywise. (cfr. my previous posts in this topic) And good call putting the 'difficult' between quatation marks, lol. It was enjoyable more than anythign else really. Too bad that lil' bitch Cart got away.

got it.
the graphics seem a bit better, apart from the running animation, which is frankly shit you get proper jedi robes though, i'll post some screens when i get home.
light side at the moment, unlike the first game, EVERY little decision means a LS/DS shift, literally every convo practically. (about 5 hours in and i'm full on LS!

according to a review I read, the game length is decent.

Cool, thanks. That's a major criterium for any RPG imho. Let's hope the extra hours aren't filled by running from one end of the known universe to the other. (cfr. MMORPGS)

I just finished it in about 33 hours... Didn't like it as much as KOTOR. Sure there were good things, such as the influence you have with party members and some balance in weapons (although I can't see why a Jedi would use ranged weapon feats), but the story was a bit fuzzy... you didn't get enough information about important characters and events... I'll give you some examples when the rest of you have finished it.

It is... the first two worlds weren't very interesting, and the time you spent at the other worlds is short. Most planets are visited only once as well, which makes you feel less involved with the events on the planet, imo. And the story itself... I still didn't feel like I was part of it when I faced the final bad guy The influence with your party members can unlock some nice stories/events though, which can be quite interesting. Especially the ones with Kreia.

gritted my teeth and got on with it, just got finished duxon and arrived at dantoine (sp?), feel much more into it now i actually have my damn lightsabre
you seem to level up very quickly, i'm about level 15 already, as you say, lots of good conversation options, i like what they have done with that.
on a sidenote, playing as a guardian, but it seems to me that sentinels are MUCH stronger in this game, esp when creating components for the sabre with there much higher skills.

Mm, I'm gonna have to get this game. But guardians underpowered? :O that sux0rs. In any case, I'll be playing an elite sabrefighter dark sider (and I mean DARK )with great manipulative skills.
for some reason many ppl still have moral objections to play REALLY dark side in RPG's...like, "I'll kill your children and feed you their ears" type of dark side. My mates often don't believe it when I say that I picked this or that dialogue option because of its cruelty, or that I played KOTOR I without a single light side adjustment. is it just me being psycho or are there other ppl here who can and do play hardcore evil?
PS: I did refrain from being evil this one single time...In Vampire: Bloodlines. The stammering guy saying "Please, don't kill me!" "Find your heart!" and that voice...man, that was too much, even for me. I couldn't kill him. Bj, remember that guy? Games get to realistic.

Reminds me of WoW threads i've seen about people complaining about backstabbing rogues that sneak upon you when you're fighting mobs.
I mean, that's what an (evil) rogue/assassin is all about. They're sneaky, they're cowards, they're not to be trusted, ... . SO accept it, that's just what roleplaying is all about.
If i wouldd be playing that game, i would be soooo dishonorable

yeah man, that stammering guy at the beach..you have to be pretty harsh to dust that guy
dont get me wrong, guardians still whoop ass, but skills play a bigger part this time around and the sentinels are the skill kings.
on a side note, the combat animations are a lot better this time around, every move has 3 variations, which is a nice change, makes it look a lot better.
now 15 level guardian, 1st level jedi master, still on dantooine not sure if the level limit is higher this time around or whether they just ramped up the enemy, so you have to be stronger.

lol...not too hard though, because they're preparing for an 'honour system'. Basically everytime you kill players that are WAY beyond your lvl or NPC's that sell stuff for no reason (making other players wait for them to respawn to buy stuff) you lose them points, and once you reach a certain point you'll be permanently flagged as en enemy to friends and foes alike. On the other hand, it would be completely cool to have a small group of elite players who are like this but never get attacked anyway because of their 1337ness. It'd be defying all Blizzard's little rules without actually breaking the 'moral code' Kinda like Korgan in BG 2
@ BJ: I've spoken to so many ppl and NO ONE killed poor Julius. It's just too much. I mean, I would have whacked him the first three times he begs, but the 5th time (the find your heart, find your heart!! one) i was done for.
mm, k@ guardian...more skills is cool, more stuff to perfect my melee mastery I say
