heh, i wish, this is to get promotion. :) next season should be interesting, 75% of my players wont be up to it, unless i get a decent transfer fund it'll be tough.

sure the prem'll love my brand of organised football

lol, the good thing about competing in high leagues with 'smaller' teams is that no matter what you do, the board loves you. ;) And damn right, if you lead them to the title and CL-football from being a mediocre third-division team like I did with Olympic Charleroi they SHOULD be thanking me on my knees. I should be given the entire stadium as a gift, in my mind. :P

Mm, do you have a lot of promotion wage bonus contracts? Or yearly wage rises? ;) I always try not to give yearly wage rises, before you know it you're paying WAY more than you knew you did. And the thing is with transfer funds: if you buy half a team together it won't run for one meter during the first season. :( I've noticed a serious change in performance if the players in a team are used to each other, and a drop when you put 11 new guys together...or is that just me? :)

Hahaha, 110 points, very nice. :) And Van Bommel is coming? Wtf lol....I kinda expected him to erh, target a bigger club. Not that Wigan is bad, but you know. ;) And dang@ wage budget...mine is a few times smaller than that, heh. But I try to keep them down anyway...I make good money by just playing matches, cos i'm 70k below my wage budget. (and the highest i can give is 10-13k, so...)

Where does all the Wigan cash come from btw? Do they have an Abramovitch wannabe chairman or something? ;)

his name is dave whelen, irl hes promised them like £30m if they get promoted  rich biatch.

not so great at the mo, wage bill slashed by quite a margin (first season was about 400k, got that wrong :) ) right down to 275k. :? riigghhtt...

got van bommel and parker but now no money for a keeper. current one not god enough.

then they hand me an extra 10m on top of the 4.1 at the start of the season but the wage bill is 70k over and its like, yeah, just give my some goddamn wage money then.

all that cash and i have to OFFLOAD players :?

nuts..

Mm; sounds like they've got a fucked up business model at Wigan man  But I know how it is, if you're with a 'small' club yur wages will only go up very steadily, even if you're filthy rich. I'v got the same thing going on with Olympic: got a lot of cash but max wages of 13k (depending on the player). :(

yeah, thats harsh. :?

wigan will let you give wages of up to 40k, but an overrall small-ish budget.

i can understand not wanting to do a bradford or leeds but with a club finacial status of 'rich' i'e 25mil in the bank and NO debts that they would be a bit further thinking than that. first season up you HAVE to spend fairly big if you want to stay up.

big difference in the quality of squad for a prem and championship side.

lol, true...especially in terms of reserves: you have to be able to field two more or less equally good teams in order to keep up with all the different cups and leagues. :/ In Belgium that's not too much of a problem, thankgod. (only 18 teams in top league, 'just' one cup) But in the UK you have to play a ridiculous amount of games.

lol, WTF? owning real at home with 10 ppl? haha...that rocks. reminds me of a guy who played with Real and was saying how Celtic (and more precisely Hartson ;) ) absolutely destroyed him 0-4 at home. The idea of a fat, lumbering Welshman kicking the crap out of Europe's finest is priceless.

I'll give your tactics a spin if I get appropriate players, right now it's looking a bit bad. :( I'm back in business with Olympic after installing the new HD, too! w00t!
