So, here we are...the bane of Satis, but who cares about him anyway, it's not like he owns these forums. ;)

Anyone who's addicted to FM2005 post here, and anyone who's not: get addicted!

BJ, I agree with you on the game becoming much harder with the patch installed. :o Especially injuries: I'm drowning in them since I installed it. But on the whole i'm doing very good in terms of my team's capabilities. Like i said in a previous topic, I lead a 3rd division team into the Belgian top league, currently in 9th (of 18) place halfway the season, "exceeding the board's expectations". ;)

My rep is now 'local'. Not amazing, but hey. I'm getting there. The main problem I have now is that my club's infrastructure and budget is way too low to attract most top Belgian players. (let alone foreign once) My max wages are 2000€/pw, hahaha. You do the math. I also have a relatively low amount of players, and I'm seriously below my wage budget. Which makes that I make mad profits on spectator income. (I just checked; my wage total is 15k € a week, that's laughable. I just hope the board adjusts the allowed wages to my profits next season. :)

If I see that there's not enough progress in the next two seasons I'll try and take over a major club, Anderlecht, Standard or Brugge. And try to go for European glory. ;) Otherwise I stick with Olympic Charleroi! :P

I also selected the Chinese, S-African and American leagues to be available. The Idea is that I want to go on and win EVERYTHING on every continent. :) But that might take a long, long time. No worries tho, I've played games over 25 seasons long in previous CM's. ;)

Lol, well, about my fortunes, off course I have little time to play, fist game I had Ajax for one season, became number one and decided that's not too much of a challange... so now I started a new game with Queens Park Rangers. They play in the English championship, and the prediction was that I had to fight of regulation, but it went quite fine, I ended 12th, so I'll be going for promotion next season.

What name? :P Man, I hope you didn't remember it. That would be such a dumb way for giving it away after all this time.

it was even dumber because I cut out the small appearances of my name, yet forgot the freaking huge, shiny name on top. :/ heh. Anyway, by now I trust most (if not all) ppl here enough to have you know my name if necessary, but I still wasn't keen on giving it away just like that either.

Whatever, I guess. :) Here are the pics Franny mentioned again, this time edited and everything. :P

out of habit, I guess. Since most games I play are in English, and also because it's originally an English game there's a big chance that the translations aren't that good. :)

On another lvl it's good for me to 'work' in English (in order to enlarge my vocabulary etc., especially in a specific sports-slang like here). And since, if i may say so myself, I can read English without problems that's not holding me back either.

I played with the Dutch translation for a while... it seems translated by a German with a dictionary. It has improved a bit with the last patch, but still it's full of mistakes or even inunderstandable things, like "En hij speelde de wedstrijd met brio" or something like that, I remember playing with Brio trains when I was a kid, but I wonder what that has to do with football. On the other hand, I believe it's translated by a Belgian guy... that may explain things.

Yeah i think the "brio" stuff is a proper 'flemish dutch' sentence. Brio is used as a synonyme for 'glans' here. Not that i use that word often, but it might happen to some people.

like "Rinox slaagde met brio in zijn examen bh-inspecteur". ;)

In any case, we all know that Flemish Dutch is superior! :)

Well, it's good to get a laugh... rediculous words like "solden" and "weeral", if I would hear them all day I would get insane, but from time to time it's quite fun.
