So when they are training you in the army, do they say:
"At this distance you are going to feel like your connection is lagging, but don't scream 'laaaag' when you miss or you'll get your ass killed"?

Yea it really depends on the rifle when talking about AK. The one i shot first time was excellent, the second one i fired from was in so bad condition i could hardly see the target through the aiming mechanism.
Yes iron sights, they wont give, atleast to us, scopes or any other aiming system.
Although i did shoot lying down on the ground, never seen a practice range like that on the picture. I like Galil though, its a lot better rifle than AK. with ten bullets i scored a total of 85 points. The person next to me got 91 but he was still "a bit tipsy" from last evening party

lol, great, some drunk estonian with a Galil. heheheh. That picture wasn't a military range, obviously. Military ranges we'd fire prone (laying on the ground) and also from something like a foxhole, supporting the rifle similarly to the pic. Did you get to brace your rifle on anything (sandbags perhaps)? We were only supposed to use our hands.
And yes, Pig, they said 'If you get shot, don't bitch about lag'. They also told us not to spawn camp. Bastards.

Nope, cant use anything except the hands. Even leaning the rifle on the magazine is forbidden. Not wise to do with any rifle, rounds may get stuck.

pff, you can't do anything with rifles except for lying down and slowly firing then? So much for my fantasies of sporting huge sniper rifles while running around and making headshots with it. Also, I wonder what a real-life deathmatch would be like...kinda a super-camp occasion, I suppose? Since no on is willing to get killed. If they're smart, anyway.

Lol sniper rifles usually weigh around 5 to 6 kilograms, and thats only their so called empty weight. Firing one while running around will probably result you shooting yourself or something.
For instance SVD Dragunov:
Weight, 4,2 kg
Length of the rifle, 1220 mm
Sighting range with optics, 1300 m
Edit: Fixed the measurements

I bet the 'units' (or what's the word) of those last 2 aren't the same. Either you'd have an incredible long rifle, or your sighting range would be limited to 'in your face'.
