 problem w/ gtkradient
Im new to gtkradient (have used Unreal Ed 3.0 for a while) and i know how to compile it, and start the game (ET), but when it goes to the screen with the map of europe or somthing, it cuts out and goes back to the main menu and gives me this error:
"Map "Tutorial" isnt a valid campaign starting map. Set your gametype to 2 to load it directly." What...do i do?

Neverheard of what you do nor i know are you talking about compiling the some program source or just some meta-file which should add a new map to the existing game but sound kinda ppl forbiden Tutorial-type maps to be starting maps ingame and you simple need to change the variable which declare the type of the map you have made. Just search the code and set it to 2 (if you do the some coded thing) or find the proper option-form and change the type of the map to something non-Tutorial (if you do that in some environment). Then your map should work.

What game are you playing? Doesn't sound like q3... not that it matters all that much. At any rate, it sounds like the default game startup type for whatever game that is tries to run a gameplay type that is incompatible with the type of map you're compiling.
My guess is the game startup string either needs to have an additional argument in it (settings the gametype to 2) or you're missing some ents in the map that would make it a 'valid campaign starting map', whatever that means. Personally, I'd lean toward the former. You might want to check with any mapping communities for that specific game ...they're be much more help than I would.

sure, no problem.
Wolfenstein....hmmm....if I remember correctly, Wolfenstein introduced a new game play type to the q3 engine, namely the 'capture and hold' type gametype. Do you have any of these 'capture and hold' entities? Maybe that's the problem. Still, it doesn't fix anything until you can either add the proper entities or figure out how to boot the game in a different game mode.
I did a quick search on google and came up empty-handed. Good luck.
