Hehe...I bet you were an adept of the boulder trap too. That thing ROCKED. Too bad it killed anyone of your own creatures too. (except for a lvl 10 Bile Demon, but bleh) I always ended up building a maze of boulder traps. Sure, some imps got killed, but the money from the enemies made up for that.

A big part of the fun in EG is fiddling with the traps...it's a good system. You can link traps and sensors (pressure pad, motion sensor and laser trip stuff) to eachother, making for crazy combos. However, I just positioned a range of some 20 sentry guns outside of my base, covering eachother for 90%. Very rarely anyone gets through that, not even super agents. The only crap now is that they break loose inside your base...due to poor planning my prisons are very close to my research lab, so a loose agent will start slapping away at scientists (who aren't fabulously armed, as you can imagine ) and blowing up FREAKING expensive equipment. The name won't mean a thing to you guys, but remember this: Jet Chan is a total and complete asshole nutcake minionkiller. Do I hate that guy.

From now I'm putting permanent surveillance on those prison cells. And securiy cams. Bleh

W00t, good to hear. Maybe they'll have patched some of the more annoying things by then too. Currently testing my Doomsday device, frying a lot of my minions accidentally. Have my tv studio set up to make my ultimatum to the world leaders, looking good. And totally carefree when it comes to agents now, combo of sentry guns and a powerful addition to my arsenal who kick the crap outta everything that comes near them. (called "freaks" ) Won't spoil too much about them tho.

Another fun detail: one of my henchmen, Red Ivan, is a big lunatic with a bazooka. (and I mean, CRAZY, if you let him loose in your base he'll prolly torch half your lair ) He's "russian" but has a fat German accent, with one of his phrases being "Kill all the girly men!". Where did we hear that one before eh?

Now I'm rambling anyway: some ppl have made a "Red Ivan trap" by now, because of that craziness...they build a really small shack on the surface, put Ivan in, lock it and wait for agents/thieves to fumble at the lock...then, when they're in, Ivan goes bananas. I think it's a golden idea.

Finished the game yesterday, and had great fun with permanently eliminating super agents/ doing acts of infamy besides that.

Also, I've been experimenting a bit with better base setups in a new game on easy (spares me a lot of trpuble from agents). In my real game I noticed that everything would have been much easier with a more efficient and generally accessable base. My defense was good, but certain rooms where too close/far to eachother. Also, I learned to put in use disguised holding cells etc. better, plus to have several backup armories all over my base, so minions are armed at all times. Disguised rifle racks too of course, to keep the heat down.

Bleh, If I knew what I know now I'd have enjoyed it better tho. The effect of my doomsday device was hilarious. One more screen attached, and make sure you take a look at this short clip of the butcher. You'll notice why he's my favorite.
