So, I've started this game. Nothing much to report yet, just a few first impressions. Chose a fighter, as usual.
I'm still getting used to the controls and the camerawork...it feels very awkward, but I'm sure that'll straighten out soon. The camera does suck tho. I feel like my char is blocking 40% of my view. Maybe there's an alternate camera standpunt, in that case ignore that part of my rant.
I'm in the city where you crashland with your escape pod, currently. Accompanied by some dork named Carth, who insists on disapproving every action i take. I'm looking forward to the day I can slice him to tiny pieces...if there ever will be such a day, anyway. I'm already shifting towards the dark side, too. After everything I do I get the 'shifted towards the dark side' message. In any case, so far it looks like being evil is well worked out in this game, unlike in BG2 where you sometimes really had to compromise to get somewhere.
C'est tout...if anyone got any good hints/tips I'll be happy to hear them.

will do...so far everything is obvious I think. I just broke into the Sith base to get the launch codes, and met the governor for the first time. Needless to say, he whooped my ass. That's what you get when your only tactic is running straight ahead and engage melee. On the bright side, I'm already way deep down the dark side on the meter. I don't think I've even had one light side shift, heh. I got a light sabre but I can't equip it. Do I have to wait till I'm a (dark) jedi?

Another question: do party members steal XP? The only party member I voluntarily take along is my open-all-lock and hack-all-systems droid.
A piccie...have just landed on Dantooine btw. Full of freakin jedis.

lol. The picture fits you. It's been so long since I played this game, I doubt I'd be of much use.
One piece of advice...don't pursue the primary quest. Do all the little quests first. If you pursue the main one too far, you may end up not being able to go back to some places.

mmm, should have said this sooner, but as a thought next time, i only level up once until i get off taris, then do all the leveling when you become a jedi.
that way you can get 18 jedi levels.

Lol, tnx for the late advice BJ hehe...i think i was lvl 6-7 when I got off Taris. But bleh, I haven't had any problems anywhere so far, so it'll be ok I suppose. @ Satis: yeah, I'm trying not too..all the small quests are pretty cool. Like the droid that run away from home, cos his mistress used him as a 'total' replacement for her husband. lol. Got myself dual-wielding red light sabers btw. I don't know how stupid the jedi council is...I'm prolly the biggest asshole in the empire/republic, with amazing potential (in their eyes) , wielding 2 red(!) sabers and insulting every jedi i can. And they still insist on training me...no wonder the empire is growing.

Hehe..I must agree with you guys, this is becoming better and better. The water planet was amazing. I ended up being banned from it permanently, too. If I ever come back I'll get death penalty, lol. (maybe this is normal, dunno...I did some pretty evil stuff on there so I suppose it isn't)
However, I am waiting for the moment I can turn my back on the friggin jedis and actually join the sith. i've just been interrogated by Carth's old master, and I desperatly tried to join him, giving him all the info he needed, even restraining myself from seeing Bastilla gettting tortured by lying, that way. It's cool that your appearance changes with the darkness, heh. I look like a zombie.
Btw, when you've been captured by Carth's master, is it standard the little droid that 'rescues' you? I chose him as my choice anyway, but was it possible to do the same with say, the wookie, canderous, and all the others? Just wondering. the little guy did a great job though. I only take along my droids if I have the option...there the only ones I trust. The goodie goods obviously have a hidden agenda, and that wookie acts way too mysterious. Maybe it has to do with me killing his father etc.
Anyway, here's a pic of me and my droid squad kicking ass on tatooine. Force lightning is pretty great. I do regret taking one rank in force heal tho Not only does it take an enormous amount of force to use with my alignment, it also heals a petty 25. It was only later that I found out how convenient force drain was. Any of you played evil before?
P.S. swoop racing sucks. (read: I suck at it)
