lol @ ammo usage. Fat boys can be a bitch yeah. Out in the open you can strafe around them and spray them, but in a hallway or indoor they're bound to take some HP/armor of you with them bastage rockets aye. I remember first meeting those guys that can jump like huge distances: i saw a fight going on on some 200 meters off, between mercenaries and mutants, and suddenly saw some things jump up a rock and back and stuff, flying through the air. I immedeately panicked at the thought of super enhanced rapage monkeys, but luckily that wasn't the case. Not that these are easy, but hey. Anything but the monkeys.
Are you aiming to kill EVERYTHING? or was the killing everyone you mentioned fucntional in some way? Cos running away or past things/ppl/places is often better a tactic than trying to frag everything. Memories of me plowing through the jungle in a 4x4 striking me now. I love driving past (and over) enemies. Also, i let the AI at eachother as much as possible, so i would only have to clean up the survivors.
As for difficulty...you ain't seen nothing yet, believe me. hehe. Feel like cranking up a game in hard myself now.
P.S. i still had this screenshot lying around, didn't post it before cos it ain't SPECTACULAR, but it's cool in its way. I blew up something (no spoiler now :p ), ran down stairs and got to this little boat docking thing (a ponton? dunno) with a patrol boat there, unguarded. I jump in it and start boating, bullets flying around me. But for some reason i didn't seem to be gaining much pace, so i switch to outside view (F1) and notice that i didn't shoot the chain with which the boat was attached to the ponton, so i apparently ripped it apart and dragged along half the ponton lol. physics pwn you! You can see the chain on the screenie if you look attentively.

I started a new game recently, on veteran (second hardest mode), and wtf is this man. I actually gotta duck and stuff...no running in guns blazing anymore that equals instant death. Gotta love it. And damn monkeys seem to jump even further.

lol. I'm still playing. I think I've finally seen all the creatures you keep talking about. Right now I'm fighting my way across several islands blowing up radio towers. Good fun. Lots of boats and guys to kill. I love it. I'll post some screenshots when I get a chance.

Different type of game. You can't go all Rambo and expect to live very long in this one. It's more along the lines of Soldier of Fortune or something. Choose the hardest.

Well unfortunatly it didn't want to run any decent level of graphics on my PC, i thought ATI Radeon 9200 would at least be good enough for some decent graphics, but it decided not to run on anything better than low graphics setting for near enough anything, and then when it did play, as soon as i went outside, it just slowed down massively.....so no FarCry for me
Oh well, i'll just have to get UT 2004 instead, probably be much better at it anyway

Heh...radeon 9200 sounds a bit too old for a whopper like FC yeah... At least you got a good game lying in your closet now waiting for your next upgrade.

catalyst 4.7 is now out, which gives a nice boost and also introduces temporal anti aliasing. ati's shaders are still better.
still, be nice when i can actually use that bloody card i spent £300 on

lol...it's only 6 months after it's release
There's supposed to be a showdown between the latest ati and nvidia cards in my usual gaming magazine, but too broke to buy it...maybe someone at work can cough up some cash. *whistles slightly retarded co-worker in*

Just read it in the store. I always read computer magazines in the store at the train station when I missed my connection. Those magazines always are months late on software though, only a few months ago they found out Kazaa is crap and now they think that crap Shareaza is tha bomb. They'll prolly never learn.
