There will be players that will have an increase in stamina yups, even if it's "only" over two weeks' time.

Hey you fellow hatrickspeople, how is it going with your teams? And what are your objectives for next season?
I just got placed into my new league which seems to be an above average lvl, so you can expect me to not promote this season. I'll spend my time training and re-organizing my club infrastructure, as it has been majorly neglected with my financial trouble lol.
On the bright side, i'm pulling out of debt these few weeks. I got my bonuses (league standings, promotion, supporter season cards) and such, and i'm at -220k atm. i'm selling my captain for 100k, a 27-yr old solid defender, if you're interested. So that should bring me down to -120, w00t. And then there'll be the cup matches that will bring me extra income for a week or two, on top of that. So i should be out of debt in a few weeks' time, not ven mentioning the fact that my debt interest will drop ever more slowly. Plus, i'm sacking 4 of my 5 doctors at the end of the week, they're barely necessary. Hired them once to get my only decent keeper patched up for an important game and forgot to sack them.
So; objectives for next season:
->buy a new coach; one with passable or solid coaching preferrably. Leadership isn't really necessary as i won't be playing for the titel anyhoo.
->buy young defenders; 2-3. With acceptable passing, stamina and defending. Then i will train them into the perfect counter defenders I'm gonna try to buy as many "heading" specialists too
->train my star player
Up to formidable or brilliant, at which he'll be worth 2-3 million mwuahahahahhaha. And ofcourse i will sell the biatch then.
->stay out of the red numbers
->sell my other "older" solid players throughout the season
So, spill the beans!!
P.S. if you happen to pulle a player with great passing or defending, throw me a line!!

gah i got the shittiest pull yesterday!!!!
was very very frustrating...
I don't really know my objectives, i'll keep training playmaking until i see some skill levels. Because they really all suck at the moment, and i don't want to fork out that much money.
After that i'm not so sure.
I aim to not finish last hehehehe
what else should i be aiming for??

lol, good training i suppose! You might want to think about getting a passable coach, that way you'll train much quicker. That should help you along nicely. I'm getting a good coach as soon as i got enough cash!
I'm sure you'll start doing better Sugs, as soon as your midfield is on a decent-er lvl! What lvl is your youth on btw? Weak?
In actuality i hope for the same thing as you: not end last; or rather not relegate in my case. And have a good win here and there. God, i can't wait for sunday when the players age; i want to buy a 17-yr old and train him to death lol.

It's at passable at the moment.
How much would i have to pay for a passable coach?

When you've played them, let me know how you did in your cup matches.
I scored only about 12000 from crowd, but i was the away team so hopefully it will be a home game next.
I won 5-1!! yay. But Oceania have a new league now, so i played a totally new team... but oh well
One of my players scored a hattrick aswell yay!

w00t! nice one!!
Unfortunately, i didn't get to enter the cup. Has to do with belgium having so many leagues (7) and me being only a newcomer in the 6th division means i just barely missed out on the cup. Which is a bummer since i could use every extra cash i can get.
So, i'm playing friendlies, we should organize one some time, if you get kicked out of the cup. Which we're not hoping for, of course lol.
As a general update: I sold another of my solid defenders, and bought a whole lot of young players with inadequate defending and solid passing skills, perfect counter-players. The financial situation is clearing out, i'm virtually on -50k with this sale. A few home games and i should be all clear, finally. Then the only thing remaining is to get a great coach, which will prolly smash another hole in my budget for a while, but nothing dramatic. It feels good to finally see any real recovery! And to have cash that is spendable, at that.
I'm looking forward to selling my star player, when he gets brilliant at defending...gonna make me millions *kisses star player* But your youth squad will have a huge edge over me Suga, i'm behind an entire season lol...you can prolly already pull inadequates and passables! (correct me if i'm wrong )

It would be good if we start a friendly game OX, I haven't bothered Hattrick for somewhile, and now I'm drunk. Not like that matters anyway.

Sure am!
I'm yet to pull passable's yet, i'll probably have to wait for the next level (still on passable).
But I usually pull at least one inadequate skill every week. This week it was a 17 year old inadequate playmaker
I think i'm going to have to sell a few of my older good players soon, i'm almost in the negatives after buying that passable coach, but it was worth it because i'm starting to see the first of my playmaking skill increases!

Hehe, yeah, a good coach is one of the best investments one could make, apart from having a great youth squad. Inadequate 17-yr old playmakers are already worth some 20k, so great job!! (but nothing says that you're actually selling them, of course, training in friendlies and then sell them for a LOT of cash is much cooler hehe )
As soon as i've got enough cash i'm buying a solid coach with poor leadership. That means i'll have a crappy TS, but a great training speed w00t! Just 130k to save now.
And yeah, make sure you get rid of 28-yr olds and such if you have a similar or better youth player, when they get too old (over 30) you'll have a much harder time selling them. I think i'll post my new players soon. Oh, and i sold older players too...a solid 28-yr old defender for 103k (€), and a solid 26-yr old defender for 150k Now i got abother 28-yr old that's gonna go on the transferlist as soon as he turns solid as well. Oh, got an older player for sale too, if you're interested:
Frederik Monsan (20244657)
30 years, weak form, healthy
A pleasant guy who is balanced and upright.
Has poor experience and inadequate leadership abilities.
Nationality: België
Assessed value: 52 000 €
Wage: 1 070 €/week
Owner: FC Rinoxia
Warnings: 0
Stamina: passable Goaltending: disastrous
Playmaking: wretched Passing: solid
Winger: poor Defending: inadequate
Scoring: poor Set Pieces: poor
i'm asking 20k, a bit optimistic, but hey.

Congrats Suga on winning your first league game of the season!! And congrats to Arathorn too, for drawing his first. I envy your attack Suga...solid central attack On the other hand, your midfield needs buffing, what are those guys, passables and inadequates? I have 2 solids and a passable playmaker (5-3-2) and i get to poor as well, so it's a bit strange. Well, one of mine does have solid XP so that could make a difference.
I made a good start this season myself, won 1-4. I was counter-attacking, expectng someone with a great midfield, but turns out i absolutely dominated possesion with my 3-man midfield AND the counter penalty. So no counter-attacking possible, but with the possesion advantage i still won it. And look how my "buy heading specialists only" policy is already paying off, 2 header goals w00t!

Yes I'm pretty satisfied with my team's efforts, though I still need a good central defender.
Congrats with your wins!

Nice Ox!
My midfielders are passables and inadequates i think. I've trained playmaking since i've started playing though, so hopefully i'll see some increases!

Tnx guys! You'll prolly start seeing improvements soon enough Suga, if you've done nothing but train playmaking since you started!
There's kind of an inaccurate (but helpful) way of knowing about how long it takes for a player to advance in a skill. You take the "official" rate, that's based in a player of 19 or younger being trained 100% by a solid coach. For defending, the rate of advancement is 8 weeks, for example.
Then, you add a week extra for every lvl your coach's skill is lower than solid. Then, you add a week for every year older than 20 that a player is.
So; in my case, a 23-yr old trained by my weak coach, would take about 8+3 (lvls lower than solid)+3 (years older than 20)= 14
As you can see, a player of 28 or older is barely worth training most of the time, takes ages.
Btw; keep in account though: every skill has a different advancement rate, AND, the player you have might be "high-inadequate", as in, almost passable, or "low-inadequate", as in, almost weak. So you could have a player advance in a skill after one week only, if you get lucky. 17-yr olds with an excellent skill (max on pull) that are high-excellent are worth fortunes lol.
The only way you can tell just how "high" or "low" he's in a certain skill is:
a)he already had an increase in skill when he was on your team, allowing you to monitor his next increase a bit.
b)his performances during the games, his amount of stars. 2 players might be passable, but one might get 1.5 stars and the other 2.5, that's usually a sign.
