I would have to agree.
However, if you do, buy it on a credit card. That way you can get your money back pretty easily (at least in the US). Plus credit card fraud is a federal offense.

eugh. *pats derf on the back* but then that's why i only buy off UK websites. that way i don't have to pay horrendous shipping fees from the US and also if anything goes wrong it's a smaller area to figure out where it disappeared/got damaged. That's pretty nasty though *hugs*

Is "regular" fraud in the US a local matter then? Just wondering. The US has a relatively unique federalized legal system (as you know better than me ), so you'll have to look out not to confuse some of us euros with yer fancy laws hehe
EDIT: are drug offences federal too? And gambling?

I think those are per state, I'm sure there are some states in the bible belt where alcohol is an illicit drug

all those offenses are 'local' as far as I know, unless they happen across state lines. Any inter-state lawbreaking becomes a federal thing. At least, that's my understanding of it.
So, basically, if your mother gives me head while driving down a highway in Texas, I'm just breaking Texas law and whatever county I'm in at the time can try ne. If I cross county lines, it becomes a state level thing. If I cross from Texas into Oklahoma (or Louisiana, or whatever) while she's giving me head (and they can prove it) it becomes a federal offense.
Hmmm...if I crossed into Mexico, would the UN have to try me?

lmao @ state border-crossing example.
So, that also means i will be federally prosecuted if i drive over a state border while smoking a specific aromatic herb? lol

Speaking of these herbs:
Yesterday about 9 pm somebody knocked on the door of my gf's appartment (studio) in leuven, which she'll be leaving in a few weeks, so now it's for rent. Some guy came by (unexpectedly) to have a look at it. He was pretty weird she thought, and in her kitchen she has little scales (een kleine weegschaal). When the guy sees this, he asks: do you use that to weigh your weed ... my gf didn't know what to answer, she wasn't in total shock but still a bit.
I thought it was funny though. Too bad i wasn't there when it happened.

Actually, yes, but you'd be in more trouble for inter-state drug trafficing than smoking.
lmao at the scales thing. hehe.
