So, i lost, and broke my 11 games winning streak. :(

Match report:

Quote:
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 7000 to Berkenbos United Arena. Berkenbos had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. They fielded: Dello - Pecqueux, Moeys, Heering, Intes - Koek, Bachelet, Ekdahl, Pinas - Guillon, van Haarlem.

Rinoxia tactics involved an interesting 5-4-1 combination. The following players had been chosen: Gu-ni - Berthier, Sénéor, van der Plas, Janssen, Jaarsveld - Jeannesson, Halmetoja , Santa Ana, Thiery - Matei.

Berkenbos took the lead in the 2nd minute of the game by 1 to 0, as Mikael Ekdahl elegantly received a pass going deep, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. Berkenbos were given a penalty in the 13th, neatly put away by Bastien Guillon. 2 - 0 for the home side. Rinoxias Bobby Janssen got himself booked after a foul. Rini Koek went down after a savage challenge, but could keep on playing after some medical attention. A bit later Rinoxia´s Teodosie Matei easily reduced to 2 - 1 after a misunderstanding in the home sides central defense line. Bastien Guillon should probably have put his team up another goal in the 25:th minute, but some great goaltending by Jin Gu-ni kept the visitors in the game. The referee showed Berkenboss Jamai van Haarlem the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Halftime score was 2 - 1. Rinoxia, bringing the final ball possession rate to 55 percent, dominated the battle.

After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Berkenbos´s Bastien Guillon got himself booked. A cross coming in from the right hand side left Teodosie Matei alone in front of the goal in the 74:th minute but his shot was too loose. Berkenbos's Alan Pecqueux scored 3 - 1 by shooting accurately and hard from a long distance, leaving the opponent goalie no other option than to pick up the ball from the net. Rinoxia held the ball, with a clear 64 percent possession rate.

The most dominating Berkenbos player was without a doubt Guy Intes. Mikael Ekdahl on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Rinoxia player was without a doubt Siemon Sénéor. Markku Halmetoja was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 1.

HIGHLIGHTS

1 - 0 Mikael Ekdahl (2)
2 - 0 Bastien Guillon (13)
2 - 1 Teodosie Matei (24)
3 - 1 Alan Pecqueux (74)

Bobby Janssen (22)

Nah, you're stil doing better then me. ;)
Today (and the next four weeks) I will be missing two important base players, but today's match is going well now, it's 2-2 in the 50th minute.

Woohaa! First win, and a good one, although I'll be missing one more good player for two weeks and one is "slightly bruised", but the match ended 3-5 for me.

hmm... well i lost again today 5-0 :? but at least it was to the top team i suppose...

But in other news my youth squad is up to inadequate now... so hopefully i should start getting some good pulls. Pulled a keeper today, he was only at weak, but way better than my b-keeper!

Hehe..having a good youth-squad is, in the long run, the way to run your team. In a season or two you're prolly pulling passable and maybe even solidly skilled players, who only need a few weeks training cos they're young. :) And then you can sell those you don't need for good money. ;) You're investing 20k a week aye?

Btw, i haven't forgotten about HAM Suga...just trying to work out a problem with the key. :/

Yeah, i'm investing the maximum in my youth squad. It's already gone up 2 levels though, and i only have played for about 4 or 5 weeks of the season

I'd love to invest in my youth squad but it's kinda hard when you're down 250k € lol. :/ I hope the HAm thing worked out for you Suga, and for you too Arathorn. :)

So, season is done and i've promoted, but ffs, what a rip-off promotion it was. :/ I missed out on the championship on goals scored. And i'm not even talking about a worse goal saldo, no we were exactly alike except, but he scored more goals. (and i conceded less) But the rules favor the teams who scored the most goals so i miss out. Bah. :/

It's even worse if you know that i could have been champion last week already, if i had beaten the last-but-one in the league, but i made a 1-1 draw, with 80% possesion ffs! :/ :/

Erh..;anyways, i guess i should be thankful i even promoted with the last three matches being so bad (lost, draw, lost), and now on to the next season. :D

I've got plans...BIG plans! I'm gonna buy only players with "heading" specialty and build myself a veritable defensive wall and play on counter-attack. :D I'm so gonna own! (i wish)

lol, yeah it did, thanks ox :D

Well.. i finished bottom, hehehe  But at least there is no level below me so i'll stay i suppose!

Is this the time to start training stamina?
I really can't be bothered lol!

I'm looking for some new players, I can't wait for the next level in my youth squad, they are starting to be worth a little bit now, i'll be able to sell them instead of sacking them!

Cool that it worked! :) HAM is a godsend in many ways, allows much better overview of your troops eh. ;)

On the bright side for you guys; you've built a strong base for next season (or so i hope lol) and will take a fresh start! :) Especially Suga with her youth squad obsession hehe ;) (but which is a very good idea tho) If you happen to pull a 17-18yr old player with these stats minimum:

defending: passable
passing: passable
stamina: inadequate
specialty: head

make sure to give me a sign, cos i might bne very interested in someone like that! ;)

Btw, a nit of advice for transfers atm: wait until "next" season, cos now all players in the game will be one year older in a week's time or sumthing. :( so look out :)

It's the right time to train stamina yeah Suga, team spirit will be reset right before the next match only, so knock yourself out with team-spiritwrecking training! ;) Note that stamina trains REALLY fast, but you can't tell who will actually rise in stamina. Might be your needy midfielder, but just as well your keeper who won't benefit in the least.

good luck with the transfers everyone! BJ, you got that team running yet? ;)

HAM worked for me... by the way, I don't have enough income to invest the maximum in my youth squad, and I need a cheap and good defender for next season, but I'm sure I'll turn out victorious in the end.

I haven't really gone on a huge spending spree at all... so i have about 280k still

It works out that i'm slowly loosing money, but that will turn around when i'm able to start selling my youth squad dudes, specially once i start pulling inadequate keepers *crosses fingers*

I changed to stamina training... will it go up over the break? or most likely not ox?
