Well, i was just going through all options. Fran is a man, we all know that (at least now we're convinced ). So it's obvious that pev decided not the pick the guy that lived closest to her, because then we'd all say: haha you're so lazy, you just picked the closest guy. Instead she picked mole, who lived second closest.
Poor old mole is so convinced of his absolutely fabulous self that he can't face the truth. So he's totally in denial, and thinks the whole world was hitting on pev. And he won the jackpot. While it's just pev's legendary laziness, only surpassed by the true Master of Lazyness (such as me) btw, that made him her boyfriend.

Ah his outburst: i think that (subconscient maybe) he knows this as well. So he feels really insecure. He just wanted to boost his confidence and self-image a bit (or a lot). Hence the 'not wanting to argue' sentence, he doesn't want to keep going on with this confrontation with the harsh reality. He'll prolly never read this topic again.
