Aw this went baaad!

I'll have to take a look in my tactics this week.

One question: is there a way you can change tactics during the game? The match report indicates my opponent was able to do so, but maybe that was because he was a member of some sort.

Anyway, here's the full match report:

Hehe, well, you were playing against the leader in your group, it's no shame to lose this game. You should try and reinforce your midfield tho; midfield possesion is quite important and when your opponent has a possesion of 91% you're gonna have a problem. :) (like in this match)

You can't change tactics once the match has started no, the "pulling back" you're prolly talking about is automatic, after 0-3 or 3-0 your team pulls back. :)

Next week will be better prolly, not such a strong opponent etc.

I had a good win, but i conceded my first goal :( ;)

P.S. hey arathorn, how did you get that nice mathc report attached? :/ i don't seem to find a way too, but i'm not really trying too hard either lol

Hell at least you got a goal, i got my butt kicked! (i am on the bottom of the ladder though) hehehe.
almost 80k from ticket sales :D hehehe

This is my match report thingy

Team Attitude: Normal
Tactic: Normal
Tactic skill: (Unlimited)

Midfield: disastrous
Right Side Defence: passable
Central Defence: formidable
Left Side Defence: excellent
Right Side Attack: weak
Central Attack: inadequate
Left Side Attack: weak

I had an absoute crap possesion rate, not quite as bad as yours though..
I bought an ok winger, so hopefully the midfield will increase. That should bring up the attack i'm guessing? (eh i dunno)

I'm playing a worse team than this against you though
Arathorn, so my ok players don't get injured and so the others get training.
I have no doubt that you'll whoop my ass

Ox, to get the match report you just click on your matches link, then on the match under played matches!

Ox, I simply made two screenshots and pasted them together with Paint Shop Pro.

And don't worry, I'm not despairing yet. :)
I'll try a new team in my tactic against suga this wednesday, but I don't have uch time to spend on it untill friday (then I've got my last exam).

Suga: omg, 80k tickets income? :o My team is going staight for champion and i got only 40k per home match :/ but wait a sec, could be you're counting in Aussie dollar and me in Euro lol, anyhoo, i got 7000 spectators every match.

You should try to reinforce your midfield yeah, a new winger will add a bit to that for example. :) As it will also strengthen your left and/or right attack. But don't focus to much on attack, i have a tryly abysmal attack (poor-wretched-poor) and i rip tru the opposition, just make sure your midfield is great, and defence helps too of course. If i were you i'd play a 5-4-1 with counter attack Suga: you've got a good defence, good attack and absolute crap midfield, so it'd help alot imho. :)

Arathorn: Hehe, k, i thouhgt i missed out on a button to get the match report nicely printed out, but nicely done that. :)

Those three players are all very good players, but make sure you don't bid much higher for the 29-yr old one than his current value, wouldn't be worth it really.

From my account, i digged even deeper below zero to expand my stadium to glorious proportions! :D (delusions of grandeur are taking the best of me ;) )In 8 days i will have doubled my terraces and basic seats; and finally installed seats under a roof and some 320 VIP boxes for my corporate bastard sponsors. :D I'm now 370.000€ in debt tho :/

Anyway; here's my match report in short:

FC Rinoxia - Super soccers

0 - 1 Folke Verstraeten (27)
1 - 1 Teodosie Matei (54)
2 - 1 Luc Jeannesson (72)
3 - 1 Juan Santa Ana (73)
4 - 1 Siemon Sénéor (79)

FC Rinoxia
Player rating and Team formation
Team Attitude: Normal
Tactic: Normal
Tactic skill: (Unlimited)

Midfield: poor
Right Side Defence: formidable
Central Defence: outstanding
Left Side Defence: solid
Right Side Attack: poor
Central Attack: wretched
Left Side Attack: poor

(opponent's ratings)

Team Attitude: (Hidden)
Tactic: Normal
Tactic skill: (Unlimited)

Midfield: poor
Right Side Defence: weak
Central Defence: inadequate
Left Side Defence: poor
Right Side Attack: solid
Central Attack: passable
Left Side Attack: inadequate

standings

1. FC Rinoxia 9 21 - 1 27
2. Berkenbos United 9 20 - 10 22

lol yeah, i got almost the full 7000, something like 6790, can't be bothered checking. :P

With friendly games, you split the income don't you? Even though it probably wont be a lot.

Depending on the travel costs, i think i stand to make a little money this week. Only a little cos i bought two players.

Oh well, i hate logging on and having nothing to do!! Especially during the holidays.
I must have revised and changed my orders at least five times by now!!! hehehe

You split the income of a friendly if you chose "cup rules" yeah. That's why i play friendlies at a mate's arena: he's got more fans and a better team= more split income for me. :)And god knows i need cash baaad. You won't earn a lot no, you'll prolly get some 1500€ out of it each.

I'd go for the 3d player Arathorn (the 22-yr old), but the 20 yr-old is nice as well.

Btw, are you guys familiar with the "match of the season" and "play it cool" options?

Hehe...from the hattrick rules book:

"Before each game, you may tell the squad how important this game is. There are three alternatives.
"This is the most important game of the season" - the players will do anything to win this one. However, during the following matches, the players won´t perform at their best, due to a reduction in team spirit directly following the match.
"This is a regular game" - the players perform as usual.
"Take it easy - next game is more important". The team will probably not perform as well as usual, but directly after the match, team spirit will increase, and they´ll perform better in the next match."

So: Mots will make your team perform better in a certain game; but will also halve(!) your team spirit afterwards :/

PiC will make your team take it easy but will give you two extra lvls in team spirit in return. :)

They only work in "real" matches btw, never in friendlies. But there are ppl that make deals to both play PiC ("double-piccing") so they both raise their teamspirit without consequences. But of course, you can never be SURE they will Pic. :)

I usually only pic when i'm pretty sure i'm gonna win (or totally sure, vs. a bot, a team that was abandoned by its user), or when i'm sure i'm gonna lose. That way you still get something out of it. In the beginning of the season i had 4 first team plyaers out and one suspended so i fthought "pff, i'll just pic", and won miraculously with 0-1 lol.

So: only use MotS when you REALLY need to win, or in the last match of the season. (as everything about team spirit gets reset anyway)

I'll read that somewhere in the near future.

I was too late for Theodor James, so I bid for the 29 year old guy, deadline is over in a few hours, so I think I'll get him.

P.S., for a right defender, is a good "winger" stat important? A right-back isn't someone I would label a winger, but you'll never know.

don't get your hopes up too high, bidding usually goes out of control the last few hours. :/

"Winger" is important for a left or right defender yeah, not as important as defending but still nice to have a pretty decent stat in that. :)
